The story about this deck is also amazing. The guy brewed the deck at home and wanted to show it off, so he showed up what he thought was a random tournament. Turns out, it was a god damn qualifier tournament, and he very clearly got qualified. He didn't find out until the thing was over.

Imagine the last game on the other end. The guy was probably sweating bullets, screaming 'Give me a chance to breaathhhhe' 😂😂. He had so many exiled options put could play only one a turn and was probably thinking how CBG kept drawing perfect cards to counter his own perfect draws and choices. He almost had it, but the Meathook never showed up hahaha

I love Gala Greeters as a card. It's a powerful snowbally card in the color that's supposed to snowball. It's a VERY strong 2-drop for sure, but facing it or playing it doesn't feel overwhelming.

Is fleetfoot dancer not good enough for the deck? 4 mana 4/4 trample lifelink haste seems like it would be very good for beatdown and also for stabalising vs. that new powerful boros deck.

1 and 2 color decks probably do better because most of us only have enough wildcards for lands for those decks. You have spend WAY more wildcsrds to play 3+ color decks.

Hi! Cool Kids Club member here. At the end of your video you were suggesting possibly replaying the deck in a week to see if the stats stayed consistent. instead, this struck me that this is an opportunity to ask your fans to power up MTG assistant and send you their results with the exact decklist and just tally it up to report on how these decks do in the meta more broadly.
@MisterWretham
@MisterWretham 2 жыл бұрын
Hey CGB. I think your analysis of replayability is correct. I think that re-using this deck for a video should be held off at least a week, maybe 2. Because yeah. If nobody clicked it the first time, they're not likely to click it again. That being said, I clicked on this one because its different. I used to be a daily viewer, but now I'm a bit more fickle -- less time.

My Theory(!) why 3 colored decks aren't as popular based on my personal view. they are shit for doing dailies. Those ask for a maximum of 2 colors. So a decent mono-colored deck for each/most colors is the best and the most the most casual players use. A variety of 2-colours can also lead to always have the ideal deck to do every daily mission as quick as possible. 3-colors mean, that you're just slower at most dailies.

First game the opponent made so many poor choices and played all their cards before attacking. I skipped ahead after turn 5. I can't sit though that garbage. But obviously love it when i face those chumps. What a goof.

I mean, with that Monogreen hand you don't have to play well. Still a testament to the Naya deck, if it can beat an absurd curve on the draw without playing a single sweeper or removal.

Either Arena hates me, but this deck has given me nothing but mana issues despite how much I try to like it. 3/5 games, no red mana. Another 5 games, 4 floods with a single red. Without drawing the right cards it has seriously stalled for me
@nmnate
@nmnate 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that might be why 3-color decks get less views. They can be pretty punishing when you can't get the right lands... especially if you can't draw into that 3rd color by turn 3.

You put out great gameplay and insight. But seriously dude. The Lumiarch “Ass-pirate” thing was funny to 13 year olds a year ago, and I’m not sure I’ve ever heard you refer to the card as anything else, ever. It degrades the quality of otherwise insightful informative videos.

No offense, but I have real advice for you. First, stop rambling about your analytics. Viewers generally don't care and don't want to hear it. Plus it comes off whiney after a while. Second, stop focusing on your analytics and number. The more you get your head off of it, the more natural you are, the more ppl will stay on the video. Peace.
