Except from the fact that Jordan never said so. He said it would be disrespectful to call himself the GOAT because he never had the chance to compete against other greats of the past such as Wilt Chamberlain or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

The Warriors proved it (73-9). LeBron defeated the greatest team of all time (73-9). LeBron became the ONLY player in NBA history to average the most points, assists, rebounds, blocks and steals from both teams in an NBA final.

Yeah, the best player on the team winning the finals is very important and is often overlooked. Rings don’t mean anything in the greatest of all time conversation if you aren’t the best player on the team.

86 Celtics. Johnson and Ainge vs Jordan and Harper? We all can see the weak link there. And the Boston front court of Bird, McHale, Parish and Walton chews Pippen, Rodman and Longley apart.

Cool story Bro. Harper and MJ put the clamps on the Celtics backcourt. PIP and Rodman make Bird work for every inch. McHale will do what he does, double dub and shoot 50+ percent. Parish is still serviceable but won't be the difference-maker. When the Bulls go small with Rodman at the 5 and Toney at the 4 they run the slow un Athletic Celtics off the floor. MJ Drops 35 + and closes the game.

The thing is Lebron really tried to beat that record and failed. I know Golden State broke the record but they did it with a stacked team, Jordan did it with key players. That's a big difference.
