Top players in a highly hyped class are supposed to be compared to all/super star players. You can’t deny Cade looks like another luka. Green can be like Kobe and t Mac offensively but less likely defensively. Scottie Barnes tho is a more athletic draymond imo rather than a smaller giannis.

Cade is not grant hill, haha. Grant hill was a freak athlete, slasher, not much of a shooter. Cade is a playmaking shooter.

I compare Cade more to Scottie Pippen. Similar to grant hill but Scotties and Cade are not as expulsive off the dribble as Grant hill was

@@mikerobinson1502 if anyone in this draft is like a young Scottie Pippen it's Scottie Barnes, that guy is like the same exact player that Pippen was coming out of central Arkansas, just heavier. Again tho, Pippen was not the shooter or scorer that Cade is. To me, Cade is a bigger, stronger, better shooting SGA, or Luka lite, basically. He's a unique player, actually, even tho it feels like his skillset is a dime a dozen these days. He's basically the middle point of SGA and Luka--perhaps a bigger, better D'Angelo Russell is the best comp for him. He's not nearly the ball handler or passer that Luka is, he's more like SGA in that realm, but he's more like Luka in terms of his shot-making vs SGA who uses more of a mid-range pull game. I'd say a 6'8', more efficient D-Lo is the best comp. A better passing Brandon Roy wouldn't be a bad comp either. Comparing him to these long, wiry, athletic, big-handed forwards of the 90s who were dunking on guys and jumping over guys just doesn't do anyone justice, not Cade or the 90s players you guys are comparing him to. His game is 100% modern, he is literally as modern as a player gets, haha, so it's hard to compare him to anyone from the 90s bc the game is totally different today. The game Cade plays is nothing like the game any of those guys played. If he's like anyone from that era tho, it would have to be Penny, but again, there are just way better comps from guys who also play the modern game. As someone who was there for Pippen and young Grant Hill, cade isn't the athlete either of them was, isn't the finisher, and is more of a shooter/scorer. He's also a better passer than both, or at least he projects to be.

Pippen was a good playmaker which I was referring more about. Pippen also average high assist which Cade is also a good passer. Height, Weight , very similar minus 8 LBS. Cade can play pg, sg or SF depending on rotations.

Pistons had two rookies that made the 2021 all-rookie team. Hayes was a fantastic passer with huge upside. Grant is literally in the olympics and was elected as a comeback player of the year. On top of that they have one of the best benches in the nba with a stacked roster of young talent. Plug in Cade and three second round picks, that’s a playoff team. But please, continue with your takes, they’re pretty funny.
