aka the original FU watch! My dad has worn the 36mm version in yellow gold for decades. It's the go to watch for non-watch people who reach a certain level of success. So you are correct, sir! Speaking of GS, a couple weeks ago a picked up a JDM model SBGX344. I love GS's tone of rose gold. It's more yellow than red, but just a tad softer and less in your face than yellow gold. Perfect in my estimation. Keep up the great work, and next time your in the Beverly Hills boutique say hi to Xavier for me. Great guy and true watch enthusiast!

Thanks for tuning in! I need to give more gold GS models a look. I’m only in the market for titanium and stainless steel so I never get a good look at the gold models. I haven’t been there in over a month (so long for me lol), but I’ll give him a holler during my next visit. He’s awesome!

I put myself on the waitlist for a yellow gold in the 40mm diameter because I love the large Roman numerals. Struggled for a long time on dial color, but I think I’m going with the timeless champagne. White looks nice but may appear too large on my 6.5” wrist. Pass on silver dial as I have it on my datejust. This black is interesting after seeing your video though.

I just picked up my dd40 in YG ,champagne dial with Roman Numerals. Go with your gut- and grab it up!

I concur with your assessment and I refer to that particular watch as my " Retirement Watch" Because hopefully when I retire I will have 40k to spend on a prezz.....and by then also have several Grand seikos and subs!! Hahah great vid

I’m not sure where you get your information but platinum does not scratch easily & it’s a much stronger metal then gold not softer !!

I think your video just demonstrates how a reflective crystal could affect. Through whole video, you almost can't see the real color and pattern of the dial, except via the cyclops (with AR coating). Some latest Rolex models start to have inside AR treatment. Hope they apply to all models later.

Ya know, I actually liked the subtle look of the dial. I don’t think it had much to do with the AR coating. The pictures on the Rolex website are deceiving. You gotta see one of these in person to know I’m talking about.

@@BrandonMenancio I haven't seen this exact watch in person, but in my experience, some great dials are ruined by reflective crystals(ex. FPJ Chronometre Bleu).

2:26 - you are wrong. Rose Gold is most popular precious metal in the moment. Day Date in yellow gold waiting time at local delear is 1-3 months, but rose gold, In my country 1.5-4years depends on who ask. And it's not only in watches but Van Cleef too. Go to find some vintage Alhambra bracelet in rose gold - waiting list.

Super-classic look. The only challenge I Imagine that athletes might have with it is the potential to scratch up the case. Newly wealthy and you bump that guy for the first time? Oooh, I’d be HOT! It’s like getting your first scratch or ding on your Ferrari…
