When I heard the voice of Kobe during this tribute I broke down man. This has been a tough week. Just like many of you I never met him personally. But it's obvious he had a big impact on us. As a Kobe fan I gained respect for Lebron James in the last couple of days. He does seem genuine and let's hope he can lead the squad to the title and honor Bryant. I'll never forget Kobe and Gigi. This guy is truly special, sometimes I comeback to this video to remember, to remember something much more than just another NBA star. I'm sure many comeback to remember a man who brought light into our lives, a man who inspires us and makes us push forward. Looking back at it now it would be a shame to his name to be someone who admires him and gives up, may we hope he rests in peace.

A coworker let me know why some of us were so hurt at this: we watched Kobe enter from high school because we were in high school when he left high school. We watched him spend the majority of his life in the NBA. We literally watched him grow up as we grew up just like a classmate from school we knew. I said it before and I'll say it again: I was never a Kobe fan but he is beyond worthy to be in the top 1% of all time greats of basketball and sports.
