I loved the way Doug Henning looked at the magic tricks he was doing as if he himself was amazed. A beautiful sincere magical man!

Good to see seventies star Doug H at the bottom of this rainbow-colored Internet rabbit hole. If we all time capsuled back from 1975-82 or so, well, the world would be better.

My mother always liked David Copperfield better because he was a dapper man in nice suits while Doug was a buck-toothed hippie in spandex. I liked Doug better for the same reasons. Doug is still one of my favorite performers of Metamorphosis. I've seen other magicians do it *faster,* but I haven't seen any do it *better* (particularly the one where he wasn't even in the box after the switch; instead a different assistant was in the box, and he was lowered from the ceiling on a rope while wearing a different outfit than the one he'd started with - I believe that was in the 1977 World of Magic special)

His Metamorphosis performance was the greatest since Houdini originated it. "One two three ...its me!" genuine art and magic

I was born in 1978 and unfortunately I had that same hair cut as Ricky Schroder has here. Adam Rich from Eight Is Enough got that trend started and all Mom's jumped on board having their little boys hair cut like that.
