About The Museum of Classic Chicago Television:
The MCCTv (FuzzyMemoriesTV) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose primary mission is the preservation and display of off-air, early home videotape recordings (70s to early 80s, mostly) recorded off of TV (in Chicago or other cities now too); things which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved digitally. If you have any old 1970s videotapes recorded off of TV please email: tapes@fuzzy.tv Even though (mostly) short clips are displayed here, we preserve the entire broadcasts in our archives - the complete programs with breaks (or however much is present on the tape), for historical preservation. For information on how to help in our mission, to donate or lend tapes to be converted to digital, please e-mail tapes@fuzzy.tv Thank you for your help!

John Palmer used to work at Channel 5 in Chicago before going to New York with the network

From mid-1970 to early 1971, Palmer was anchor of the "Sixth Hour News" on WNBC Channel 4 in New York (replacing Frank McGee at the point the latter was named one of the rotating anchors of "NBC Nightly News," along with David Brinkley and John Chancellor, upon the retirement of Chet Huntley). His replacement? Sander Vanocur, former NBC News White House correspondent (and onetime reporter/anchor at WRC Channel 4 in Washington, DC). This was at the point Channel 4's early-evening newscasts fell to last place as WABC Channel 7's "Eyewitness News" - especially after Bill Beutel joined Roger Grimsby at the anchor desk - began its meteoric rise (but in the meantime, WCBS Channel 2 and Jim Jensen ruled the ratings roost).

Somalia certainly hasn't improved after they "turned their backs on Marxism." In fact, this entire broadcast documents the neoliberal capitalist takeover of society.
