Historic systemic racism plagues East Buffalo’s growth

Жыл бұрынThe legacy of segregation and systematic racism impacted East Buffalo, long before a gunman walked into the TOPS Supermarket on May 14th, 2022 - unleashing a racist rampage inside the one grocery store that served the neighborhood. The shooter not only destroyed lives but also destroyed one of the few accessible and affordable options for healthy food.
This series explores how the East Buffalo community is actively working to heal from the ongoing racial trauma they face, and showcases young leaders who are working to #ChangeTheNarrative and make their community a better place with funding from our sponsor W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

I was born and raised in Buffalo and building that 33 killed the east side of Buffalo. The Jefferson area housed black teachers, doctors, etc. And they planted that expressway right in the middle. They used it for white flight.

I don't look like you, but what you're doing is outstanding ! Love is indeed universal, I only wish it was more apparent in our universe . I wish for everlasting success & prosperity for the African Heritage Food co-op , as well as for the beautiful city of Buffalo and the people who call it home .

Ny can be the first to feel out what needs to be done, let residents return to nature, a owned private back yard, just enough for a bbq and fun outside. The other 20 trillion each year, the state can say no. Doesn’t mean you never be the United States ever because you are ny, or albguse. Spend all of it on you. You could be the second state to do so, because you want to do the correct thing.
