My dad was a jockey at thus track in the 50s. Then he was a horse shoer, ferrier. I grew up on the back side of this and many other tracks. Thanks for showing this!

Serengeti Empress ran like the champion she is. She might have lost the photo as she got the worst part of the head bob...but she won any over today. She ran silly fast fractions for the first quarter, half and 3/4th mile.....only to lose a heartbreaking photo

Serengeti Empress was flying out on the lead and did everything she could do in trying to win that race. To get beat by a nose was a tough loss.

Yeah well they are girls, which is even more impressive lol, she was my single derby day, favorite horse In training, when she fought back I was already walking out of room, thought she was cooked, in her races don’t matter which way you hit her, will always run at any challenger to look them In eye

With today’s technology, a dead heat should be as close to impossible as possible. Of course... nothing is impossible and a dead heat could happen but when the horses are galloping not in synch, there’s gotta be a winner!

The 8 horse is a very good horse with great heart but the jockey tyler rode a hurried race 21 then 43 spits really brutal if ridden more patiently that horse wins

Reminds me the the Michael Phelps race where it was so close that it’s still a debate. Both swimmers were on at diff points of their stroke. Same as the horses head bobs being different even though they were at the same spot.

Hunter Sykes I already do. Greyhound racing is even more disgusting due to their awful living conditions, but that doesn’t make horse racing a less important sport to focus on ending. Over 500 horses die per year because of this sport. That number is absolutely unacceptable.
