Thanks for Ricky Bo bringing up the offense again....6 runs is nice, but they had some hideous at bats....After Wheeler had the really long inning, Bryce and Castellanos swing at the 1st pitch...that is just dumb, especially for Castellanos....you need to extend the at bat more then 1 pitch in that situation

Its good to get the losses out of the way early. Rebuild the winning momentum to swing back. Wheeler had an off game that's all. We know how good he is, that's why hes on the team.

The question about pitcher catcher pairings: the Phillies in the 1970s had Steve Carlton as the ace, and backup catcher Tim McCarver was Carlton’s designated catcher. So letting JT be Wheeler’s designated catcher is a no brainer. Let Stubbs catch for Turnbull - oh that’s right, he’s no longer a regular starter …

I say it often, the VAST majority of problems the Phillies encounter are due to Thomson's feeble management style. Just look at today's musical chairs of player positions and line up. Players need and want consistency. Consistency creates efficiency. This Helter Skelter decision making approach to daily game play, is extremely detrimental to the team as a whole. Clearly Wheeler wasn't at the top of his game having been paired up with Stubbs today ( I know JT's knee is sore). Look back also to all of Wheeler's starts this year, he hasn't had the full list of starters backing him up in most of those games.

Ok so wheeler had one stinker. Not a big deal. Are we still in first place? Yes. Good pitchers have stinkers every once in a while. Also I knew Soto would blow it. He and Seranthony have been absolute liabilities in this bullpen. Wonder what will happen to them this deadline.

You want a game to fast, stop watching baseball, and turn your attention to football where you need the attention span of an ant. For nearly 180 years baseball was played with no "ghost runner". Honestly, what a Fed rule that is. Just adding a free baserunner to second base out of all places, just so the game can get over faster. nothing earned, just a freebee to end the game faster. On what planet does that make sense?

Soto gives up hits and runs every time he goes out there. You wanna keep him on the roster? Only pitch him in low pressure situations. You march him out there in extras? Topper got what he deserved.

I agree Wheels could have been better, this and that, but we’re still looking good. I maintain there are losses in the season that we need and this wasn’t one but you feel me 😂

Stop using Soto late Why wasn't Turnbull pitching 1 inn Merrifield can't bat 1st And the injuries ate piling up also they need another backup to JT. Stubbs has been terrible for 3 years. Wheeler in day game struggles big time. There July and Aug schedule is brutal

soto did nothing wrong. offense left the bases loaded once or twice today. You do that you lose games. Even yesterday we were 3-14 with runners in scoring position
