NCLEX STUDY TIPS | What I Did vs What I'd Do Now. In this video I’ll go over what my study strategy was for NCLEX, as well as how I would approach studying for the NCLEX today. I’ll go over some free resources such as lectur.io/nurseliz, and review some paid programs as well that I’ve used or heard great things about. We will discuss how to gain more information on NCLEX topics that are stumping you, as well as the most important thing of all in regards to studying for the NCLEX!

I used Uworld for 5ish weeks. When I picked my answer I would say out loud the rational for the one I picked and why the others are wrong. If my rational matched uworld's rational I became more confident in my readiness to test. I passed last week on my first try!

Just passed my RN NCLEX this month with 75 questions! I used Saunders and can't recommend it enough.. I would even use it through nursing school because it helps you understand topics. So glad to be done 🤗though!!!

Thank you for these helpful tips! This was perfect timing for me - I take my NCLEX next week! Our program had us do the HURST review which is a live seminar and then you have access to videos, topic specific quizzes, and practice exams up until you test. And just FYI UWorld does have a demo version where you can take practice exams for free :)

As for studying in the “stone ages”, they had text books you could buy with questions and rationals. The one thing I kinda collect is old nursing/medical textbooks and I have a Lippincott state board nursing exam textbook from 1937. Supper interesting to paw through!

omg that would be so interesting! I love looking through my mom's old textbooks. It's wild how many of the conditions were termed "fatal" that we now consider so so curable.

I just passed my NCLEX in 75! Hurst review was awesome and Uworld questions really helped in addition. I was hesitant on buying all that but the promoter justified by saying “if someone told you that you could 100% pass if you paid someone would you?” And I was sold hahaha

When I took the NCLEX 30 years ago it was 2 days of testing, pencil and paper. I took a review course at the college I attended and had a review book. We had to wait 2-3 months for the results through snail mail.

Wow I wish you were doing KZfaq were I was taking the NCLEX great information. I passed with 75 questions. I must say that you have helped me gain some really good resources while in NP school (Picmonics) and I heavily use now in my last semester and have started to study for boards. Thank for sharing 🙂.

I passed the NCLEX in 75 with Saunders. Saunders all the way!! Saunders comes out with a new edition every October FYI. Approximately $50 for book and Qbank of 6000 questions.

Taking my NCLEX next week - this is just in time! I've done over 2000 questions on UWorld in the last week or so and now I'm going to use Saunders to study the areas where UWorld says I'm lagging. Thanks for the tips!

I'm taking the NCLEX exactly one week from now! I did get UWorld and my program used ATI during the program as well. I liked UWorld a lot because it has the same interface as the actual test and has detailed rationale. A lot of my friends liked Saunders bc it went through each topic for review, but I found I couldn't really stay focused on it.

Thank You very much. While I have about a year to go until nursing school graduation, I have a few resources like a 6th edition Saunders book and my school have us the Kaplan program. But now I have an idea of how I should try to actually Pace myself with my study habits.

Thanks for this video! I take the NCLEX on February 26th and I have been panicked that I waited too long to start studying! I have been using UWorld for a few days now and will keep it up until test day. Also funny side note- I actually found your channel searching for cloth diaper information because I am having baby #3 in May and looking into cloth diapers as a way to save money while we work to pay off student loans!

When I graduated in 2014, I used the review on the NCSBN website. You can choose how long you would like access from 3-15 weeks it costs $50-$160. I did the 3 week one. They didn’t have a ton of questions but they seemed more like the NCLEX questions than any of my other resources I used. I also had a cd (I know I’m old) to NCLEX 10,000 (which was a required resource for a class I had) and that helped with question stamina and at least at the time had pretty good rationals. Plus I had the Saunders book. I remember the day I took my exam, I freaked out when I got to question 75 and prayed it would turn off, and when it did I freaked out again and wished it hadn’t because I was so sure I had failed miserably! Funny how fickle the mind can be. Anyways I sobbed in a near by Starbucks parking lot trying to get WiFi so I could try the Pearson vue trick (is that even still a thing?) much to the obvious discomfort of the guy parked next to me. Awww memories, great now my eye is twitching! 🤪😂
