He’s one of the more popular members, esp. in Korea. And Taeil…YEAAAAHHH 🔥🔥🔥 As what Mark said, he is NCT 127’s treasure. Truly the backbone of NCT 127 songs. Agree with the screen time, especially in MVs because that’s what will let people know who does what. In performances, it’s understandable if the vocalists would have lesser focused sections (ex. dance breaks) because they really needed to put the stronger performers in there, I mean I wouldn’t put Mark or Taeyong to do the vocal runs and stuff, like we have the vocalists for that. So unless a vocal is also a great dancer, it’s somewhat inevitable that the vocals may not be prio-ed to be in front. And the idols understand that, because each has a role, they need to put out there who’s best at what. If it’s vocally centric, they def bring in their vocalists. To be honest, if we’re gonna put together their discog, Mark and Taeyong would prolly have the least lines because their b-sides are vocally heavy. They get the least lines overall. BUUUUUUUUUUT, they need to be given equal parts in MVs I swear. Because that’s what people see first 😢 I remember watching 2 Baddies the first time and was like, WAS TAEIL HERE??!! I rewatched it and freaking had prolly less than 10 secs 😑😑😑 Like you can hear his voice being played but he ain’t there.ughhh They need to let him do something, put aesthetics on his vids, or whatever, so he’ll get more focus in there.

I really think the best part of this is they are pouring their all into this and they are having so much fun doing it. I agree with what you said about Doyoung, I always think that of Xiumin in EXO -- they work hard and are a great foundation but do not get a lot of credit for it.

I agree wholeheartedly with your comments about Doyoung and Taeil! Especially what you said about Taeil. Tbh, Doyoung's popularity has increased a lot over the past 2 years. I've been a fan of NCT since debut, and if we compare the attention he got back then to now, I see a noticeable difference. He actually acts crazy on stage lmao. Tongue out of mouth and intense charisma whenever the camera is on him. I'm not downplaying what you said about him not getting the recognition he deserves tho! I feel like he's way more popular amongst Korean fans, while international fans gravitate toward members like Taeyong, Mark, Johnny, Yuta, etc. I hope he continues to get more attention. He's one of my biases in 127 afterall :) As for Taeil (who's my ult bias along with Xiaojun), I can go on and on about how he deserves more than what he gets. Fans barely pay attention to him and he's pretty much reduced to "the member who always hits high notes in the bridges of 127 songs." It's frustrating bc ofc he's an amazing vocalist! He deserves all the praise for his beautiful voice, but people show no interest in getting to know him outside of that. He's been looking sad and unenthusiastic this whole comeback bc he barely got over 7 seconds of screentime in the mv, he barely got lines in the song, and he's not really showcased as much as he used to be in this recent album. All I can hope for is some kind of change. SM needs to stop playing favorites. All the members are talented and deserve equal screentime.
