They really did well with those separate generator sets . Unlike relying on the engine to power the whole train, what used to happen was ,once the engine unhauls the entire train will be on a blackout. This time around the engine would unhaul and go to wherever it wants for hours, but the train will have power and passengers would not be in convinced 👍🏿. Otherwise kudos to those beautiful videos Mr Kachamba, we love you ☺️🤗😚

Thanks a lot. I never knew they used to use the locos for power. The arrangement now is brilliant.

Thanks brother for the video. GRZ need to invest heavily in the railway sector. Prof Chirwa should be engaged again to help in the modernisation of the railway line.

@@theKhumbaguy Very true. A train rides are much safer in Zambia even even if it takes many hours for one to reach Lusaka from the Copperbelt

for an old-built railway 30 Kilometers per hour is actually not that bad at all... pretty much the average in the former USSR for most tertiary routes... in much of the less developed railway infrastructures of the world it is quite a bit less than that. maybe 20 km/h or less when you include all the stops, often as little as 15 km/h on single-track sections.

Hey, I thought you had a gimbal. Hows that affected your vlogs? Considering getting one but am unsure of it being just a worst of money or might be useful.
@theKhumbaguy Жыл бұрын
I do have a gimbal, but I never used it during this trip. It's very helpful in many situations and would be even on videos like this on moving trains or buses. If you do a lot of videos while on the move either walking or in a vehicle, be sure to buy it.

Is there is direct route from Livinstone to kapiri for my trip to Dar Es Salaam
@theKhumbaguy2 ай бұрын
Yes, there is a train that begins in Livingstone every Monday and ends in Kitwe. Kapiri is along the way after Kabwe which is after Lusaka.

You ZR should build morden stations not the colonial ones we are seeing, we are not in colonial mind you, try to move with time, source the money from the government if you don't have or come up with renovative ideas to raise money to build morden structures, how I hate to see that structure in Lusaka as if it's in mumbwa and not the capital city 😮.
