Interviewed by WABC's Roger Grimsby...yeah, that's a reliable source for an interview with a hipster like Neal. I sometimes wonder if Neal was just putting everyone on. Sometimes he made sense when he spoke & other times it was performance art. And sometimes it was both & that really confused the intellectuals.

Watch the interview with his daughter. She touches on that very subject. A lot of similarities between the “gonzo” writing style as well as lifestyle of Hunter S Thompson in my humble opinion.

God - Cassady had the BIGGEST balls ever!!! Keep in mind, this was just a year after he just got released from prison, did 2 years in the clink from a set up drug bust where 2 undercover cops asked to smoke a joint with him Then he goes on TV clearly out of his mind on either uppers or LSD, but either way, wow!!!! Probably speed, but in case he was tripping - I’m too nervous to just talk to sober people when I’m tripping, cant imagine giving a tv interview while tripping!

I don't think I could handle being around Cassady for more than ten minutes. And that would be too long. Undiagnosed.

Ah man, I’d love to befriend Neal 😃 I’m only 29 so that probably plays a role haha. He’s been my hero since I first read On the Road my freshman year of college, 11 years ago now Definitely undiagnosed that’s for sure! ADHD to the extreme haha

"Don't flip if you can't fly..." He's referring to his hammer. He wants to flip it because he is nervous in front of the camera.

In Mark 2:27 Jesus said, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.” This statement was in response to the accusation that His disciples were breaking the law regarding resting on the Sabbath when they walked by some fields and plucked heads of grain
