My dad is from Campania, and we make this every Sunday in the winter, but we use lamb meat instead of beef. It's delicious either way❤

My Nonna made her sauce every Sunday. I was out Saturday nights until the sun came out.... she'd be there braising beef, pork and lamb. If I had a "wayback" machine, I would never leave.💝💝💝

You cannot use pork. Lamb has a very strong flavour so if you prefer it you can try. Ragú napoletano is one of the italian recipe where every family has its own recipe

Beata te che riesci a parlare bene l'inglese anche se la pronuncia è quella italiana non so da quanti anni vivi in America, io e la mia famiglia e i genitori di mio marito dalla Romania sono tre anni che viviamo in Colorado ad Aurora purtroppo non ho imparato la lingua inglese ma parlo lo spagnolo visto che è la loro seconda lingua. Sono felice che mostri agli americani la cucina nostra italiana. Anche mia suocera che è rumena quasi quasi gli faccio aprire un canale così da mostrare la cultura della cucina rumena a gli americani.

if you cook sauce for 6+ hours, carbohydrates from tomatoes and meat begin to caramelize and because of it sauce gets a special taste. you can't achieve it just for 1 hour. some italian women put a bit of chocolate if they don't have enough time or tomatoes are not sweet enough, but it's not the same.

Ok no, with Neapolitan Ragú you NEVER add water from pasta! You cook it for 6 hours or more to make it thick, so no water!!!
