My go to place to scratch the fishing itch! Gotta love the boat fisherman who can’t fish and role on the bank fisherman… I keep a 3-4 oz weight and a treble hook just in case this happens! 🤣

Kevin starts the video saying its really not right to come fish there in a boat because of the people bank fishing. you got the whole marsh and you decide you need to be there?? the nerve of some people... as a bank fisherman i have never understood people in boats motoring in on fish im catching. i have been cut off completely before while standing on rocks. i may have even accidentally slung a bait against the hull of a boat once or twice, on accident of course.

O how I miss the bank fishing in Louisiana (Lake Charles area). Had a few spots that remind me of this spot in the Big Lake and Hackberry area. I try to tell people here in Houston that Texas is no match to Louisiana fishing. Everything is so privatized near the Galveston coast you almost need a boat. When I moved here in 1997, it did not take long for me to get my Blue wave boat. Really enjoy your videos bro, especially when Im working at the computer and you are rubbing it in lol. Tight lines!

There are now No trespassing and No fishing signs on fence at Hwy. 23 and a gate across road about halfway to wall. Rode down there Saturday morning early.

I have a camp on lake herm, and nobody around there puts up with this bs. He’ll get his eventually. Close knit community around there and people will be more than happy to run you off when you act like that. Glad to see herm producing though, haven’t been going around since the camp’s still out of commission.

@@MarshManMasson sadly yes, in the process of rebuilding as we do every time. 7 ft of water inside the camp, dock completely destroyed, stuff lost but it’s to be expected having a camp there. The positives far outweigh the negatives. I was also told the days after you posted this video the spot got BLEW up, over 30 people fishing the wall off land at one point. However, I’m all for it! You can’t keep every spot for yourself, and if it wasn’t for videos like these, I myself would’ve never got into fishing!

When I saw the description of this video I knew exactly what type of motor would be on that boat. As a former kayaker, those dudes with those engines wrecked everything every time they came around. That said, I love the new content. Bank fishing the river, bank fishing here. Just awesome to show all the styles you can do down here.

You know what my favorite thing about kayakers is? How inconsiderate the majority of them are thinking they can block the boat ramp as they slowly meander while loading their rig as a line of boats build up who actually need the ramp. It works both ways it’s called having respect for your fellow sportsman.

Some Kayakers don’t block the ramp and some do it is what it is but what’s really aggravating is when they pull straight up to the ramp get out mess with all there gear and load all there stuff then unload the kayak then park truck then jump in there kayak on the ramp. I mean come on man I parked set up all my stuff before at ramp and if I’m alone I’ll park my boat out of the way so others can launch. Why every kayaker has a set of wheels but not even use the damn things.

Facts... They have a boat so they dont care about making the spot hot for a lot of people without one... They put too many eyes on the spot. Didn't help that people leave their damn trash everywhere either.

Its actually trespassing to fish there, since there is a closed gate you have to go around. Now since this video they are putting a gate across the road closer to 23 so nobody can get to it....except by boat.

Hwy 23 then lake herm cut off. Do overlap map to view area. A lot of times you can se old trails=locations. Bank fishing is a crap shoot though.

The reel is silent. It's the braided line being fed back onto the reel so close to the microphone.
