I'm only at page 140 but I'm already impressed by Starlin's run on Captain Marvel. Top class science fiction, beautifully illustrated. Issue #29 is outstanding.

Looking forward to this one. I've always wanted to check this stuff out; I was gonna order trades for Captain Marvel and Warlock before the solicitation dropped, so I'm glad on holding out on it.

Jim Starlin’s cosmic Marvel universe is the reason I got into comics, so this was a must buy. This is a great buy for anyone following a Thanos reading order from the start, and to me it essentially replaces the Avengers vs. Thanos TPB (along with a bunch more stuff). I might be remembering it wrong but I thought these stories were all about Thanos chasing the cosmic cube. The gems were mentioned but Starlin didn’t identify the gems’ significance until the Thanos Quest (including the Soul Gem on Warlock). Just mentioning it as i was surprised to see the gems on the cover art but I guess anything labeled “Infinity” has to have the gems plastered everywhere. The Death of Capn Marvel is great to have in oversized trim finally and to me is one of the main selling points for the book (I hope they included that issue with Nitro about how Marvell got cancer). Went with the DM cover as I just love Starlin’s art. I don’t buy artist editions but I bought the Marvel Cosmic Artifact Edition after seeing it on Omnidog’s channel. It has some beautiful art from the stories included in this omnibus. Thanks for the video Omar!

I missed this when it first came out. Just picked it up today at a bit of a discount as it looks like it was going OOS or OOP. I already had the Thanos vs Avengers omni, but the marvel graphic novel #1 makes this a must get and the reason that this should be bought instead of the GotG solo omni.

I passed on this one since am getting infinity war omni and the death of superguy so my wallet doesnt faint. great vidd!

Sounds like the Warlock and Mar-vell omnibus would collect almost this entire omnibus. I have limited shelf space, but the latter are both available as of today's date.

Was very happy that this omni came out. I previously bought the Guardians Classic omni ONLY for these stories. I picked the new cover.

Great video 👍🏽. I got the regular cover too, it's really nice. Was rereading the Guardians by Annett and Warlock mentions the erased timeline with Magus. Looks like that's in there so very excited. Usually don't like old art but damn Starlin, Simonson and Byrne still hold up with fantastic stories (maybe slightly wordy or dated dialogue).

Hi Omar, very good review of this omni. The art is mine too, the dazzling colors fits perfectly into drawings and story I have been waiting for this for so long and now it's published. I have picked it up directly after it was available. In some minutes I will hold it in my hands :)

Thanks for this great video, which prompted me to pick up this omni. For me, this is a triple dip on the Warlock material and a double dip on The Death of Captain Marvel. But I'm picking up the bulk of the Captain Marvel material (the comic run) for the first time. And it's nice to have all of this era of Starlin's cosmic material in one oversize hardcover.

Quick fact: I'm Italian and I'm writing from Rome, that being said, I really wanted to get into the Grant Morrison' Doom Patrol run, but the italian version it's pretty hard to find and is also pretty crappy. Is there an American version that is easy to find (maybe through Amazon or eBay) that I should be looking for? (I know my written english isn't perfect, but I still manage to read comics in English). Great stuff, Starlin's original cosmic epics. Don't know if I'll pick it up though,I've got much of it in other editions.

Everything in this is already in the Jim Starlin Captain Marvel complete collection and Warlock complete collection, so if you already have those then the only reason to buy this would be to have it all in one Omnibus. Even those extras look like the extras in the CC. Though I will say that cover art is fantastic and would love that as a poster.

So the essential reading order of these books is 1.Origin 2.Gauntlet 3.War? Thinking of picking all 3 up, they look like an epic run. Only read a few TPB's.
