While I was at OU, Nebraska fans were by far the best visiting fans. We haven't seen a good visiting fan base in Norman since Nebraska left.

As an Oklahoma fan, just wanted to say welcome and thank you for coming. I too would love the opportunity to travel to Lincoln and see Memorial Stadium. There's quite a history behind our two schools and its sad to see our two proud programs not facing each other in November like we used to.

They only do the outline of the state during the spring game.

This is one of the only rivalaries me and my dad miss the most. Two iconic brands clashing in November . Dad and I stil talk about the good "old" days of OU vs NEB. Glad you got to see it.

My mother's from Oklahoma my father and his family are from Lincoln Nebraska. He was a die-hard huskers fan but my brother and I were all Boomer Sooner. I'm thankful my mother had the sooner games playing on TV. And watching the BOZ do his thing made it easy to be a sooner.

Well, I know I sure miss the old days of NU vs OU. I will always pull for the "Black Shirts" and have been to Lincoln 3 times and great fans and a real pleasure to visit. Oh We are also not a fan of the "cashless"BS! Also Tom and Barry where priceless coaches and I really like the hire of Matt Rhule and feel in 3 years the Huskers will be back to a top 20 team if not better.

I’m from Central City, NE home of Bugeaters and Tom Osborne now, but been a sooner fan forever. Their home games are louder than Nebraska’s. Been to last 3 OU vs NU games. OU’s marching band is also louder. Nebraska OU is the best rivalry cause it’s out of respect, hate Texas though

Yep I also enjoyed your KZfaq highlights of y(OU)r first OU 2023 spring game. And am also a Sooner BIG RED of the SOUTH who misses playing the BiG RED of the NORTH games. Finally as a life long Sooner fan and OKIE born in 1954 am ready to move on to the SEC this July 1st, 2024. Things have changed forget cash now card cell phones and so on. But i really miss playing the classy OU vs NEBRASKA FOOTBALL GAMES. BOOMER!!

That OU inside the state of Oklahoma at midfield you disliked is only there for spring games. Also, there are some differences in graphics on the field for the initial non conference games vs. the conference games.

I'll never forget my church, which was located on Campus Corner in Norman, had an Indian taco sale during an OU vs Nebraska game in the early 00s. Those Nebraska fans who came through were so nice & memorable. It was so cool seeing a lot of them try an Indian taco for the first time haha

yea they need to fix the stairs and put some mats so you dont slip, it rained when I went and it was pretty bad going up the steps inside. The concrete was was pretty old there too.

The state symbol in the center of the field is temporary. It’s just for the spring game. Same with the Heisman K1 graphics on the field. Just temporary.

Our field doesn't have any limited access seating with support poles right in your way. That logo is only used for spring games.

I grew up an OU fan and loved the Bud Wilkinson and then Barry Switzer days. My favorite rivalry game of all was the annual Nebraska vs. OU games. This was in the days when the Texas Longhorns was in a different conference, and Boone Pickens contributions hadn't paid for upgrading the OSU program. The Nebraska offensive and defensive linemen were always large, extra strong beast because Nebraska adopted weight training in 1969 when most other teams and sports, including the NFL, still believed that weight lifting would make athletes muscle bound, slow, and clumsy. This, of course, Nebraska proved completely opposite with those large, quick, agile officials lineman. Of course, it could have just been because they were all corn fed 🌽. 😆

It’s actually real grass and the state shape in the center is just paint, and it’s only there for spring game’s, regular season they go back to just the OU in the center.

Oklahoma has the best facilities in the country. But the stadium is not the biggest. Oklahoma is not a populated state.

You missed out, you should have went to a place called “campus corner” just north of the stadium, as a lifelong Sooner I made the trip to Lincoln this past season and you guys have an awesome experience and environment! I hope Rhule gets you boys rollin again! GBR!

I’m not being nice because of your video but I must pass along that I’ve been to a few games in Lincoln and I’ve always said that NU fans were the best and most polite fans I’d ever come across. Hoping you had safe travels home and that this won’t be the last time you come and visit us.

As an A&M fan, I've been to both stadiums..Both are very nice but Nebraska's is better IMO.

I grew with OU , Nebraska playing in Nov. for the Orange Bowl. Battle of the BIG REDS. Little did I know BOTH of the teams had a punch of REAL BLOODS from CA.

Most of what you experienced the field layout with the state outline & seating ect was spring game only.

Only been there for a high school championship game in 2007 and semi final in 2002. It was cold windy but it least it didn't snow. Stadium was ok only hated having to find parking 4 blocks away wasn't aware there was some on east side.

I'm an in-state OU fan that never got to go. I'm sure I would be in awe of the structures and stuff, since I've never really got to be around stuff like that before (Though I have traveled by Arkansas stadium a few times as a little kid, and once as a young adult at night. ). I've never been around large crowds either. I don't think I'd fair well in huge crowds. I randomly came across this looking for info about that OU/Nebraska game where the OU fans tore down the goal posts. I was watching a college football moment compilation that showed Tennessee fans doing the same, and wanted to comment about the OU fans doing it, but my memory of the year was vague. I was going to say 2000?. I didn't really start watching OU until the late 2000's, but more consistently after 2010 (the year I graduated high school). I unfortunately didn't really get to experience the OU Nebraska rivalry. So the last 2 match-ups were cool to see. I wish we still held to the traditions. Hate seeing it being thrown away, along with others given the recent realignment. If I'm not mistaken, I think I read that OU was the first team that Nebraska hosted at their stadium around 100 years ago? Nebraska wore blue jerseys because OU showed up with red colored jerseys. Lol

I graduated from OU and always had a good time when I went to games as a student. When my son was going there, I went to a game with him and there was the most obnoxious, loud, foul mouthed guy right behind us. It was not a good experience.

I did this kind of video, on Nebraska just my luck they go on and win back to back titles I didn't want to leave Nebraska, I had more friends and family at those games then I do at home (tragic) I simply cannot believe in this day and age someone such as yourself could do such an honorable video on a hated opponent. Brilliants and commendable.

I think the brick wall around the field looks nice. But it is shockingly close to the field, when I think about it. Great for fans that want to be up close, but players have to use more caution when running out of bounds or out of the endzone. With how player safety cautious everyone is nowadays, I'm kinda surprised it's not talked about more.. I don't think we've had any serious problems with that, so I don't think I would personally advocate for it to be changed.

Nebraska fan with a question here. How do you guys compare the rivalry with Nebraska to the rivalry with Texas? I, personally, view Oklahoma as Nebraska’s only real rival. An argument can be made for Colorado but that’s more because of their fans than the program itself. Miami could be considered a “postseason rival” I guess. I wish you guys would’ve come to the Big Ten instead. Hopefully Texas doesn’t place their ruining mark on the SEC like they did with the Big 8 and Big 12

They are adding a lot more seating. The OU symbol will be replaced. You could still see the OU underneath and they’ll go back to it before the season starts. They went cashless at the beginning of Covid

I am a born and raised Sooner who married a Husker. At first I felt some tension concerning how I would handle fan hood,but after following these two programs and witnessing two of the best sets of fans in the world I have no problem cheering for both!
