6. Please avoid asking to become a moderator for the channel. Being a moderator on this channel is earned and a privilege.
7. Typing in ALL CAPS creates a disruptive chat and indicates that you are yelling, so please refrain from doing so.

Greetings all! Today's video brings us to the Northeast Corridor Line at Rahway. Both the Northeast Corridor Line and the North Jersey Coast Lines serve this station. The outbound platform is an Island platform while the inbound platform is a side platform. Rahway station first opened up in 1836 and was electrified in 1932. There are 6 tracks at this station. The North Jersey Coast Line diverges from the Northeast Corridor just southwest of Union interlocking near the Rahway station. The New Jersey Transit Northeast Corridor Line runs between New York Penn Station and Trenton Transit Center. During peak hours, some trains originate from and terminate at Jersey Avenue. It's symbol represents the state house. When completing their trips, many trains are stored in Sunnyside yard in Queens, NY. Servicing gets done in Morrisville yard in Morrisville, PA. The North Jersey Coast Line runs between New York Penn Station and Bay Head. Direct services between New York and Bay Head run during peak hours only. During off peak hours and weekends, passengers much transfer at Long Branch to continue their journey. All stations south of Long Branch are in diesel territory. The North Jersey Coast Line diverges from the Northeast Corridor Line just after Rahway and it's symbol represents a sailboat as the line does run along the Jersey shore.
