I feel like this Myers is unique anuff to get both the ultimate and retro versions. Although I still prefer the ultimate line of figures. The retro line is really turning up great. The art on the retro is worth it to me IMO.

Excellent review, Spot! I have this figure too and I think it has the best face sculpt I've ever seen on an official "Michael Myers" figure. But I still prefer the ultimate version's body sculpt over the retro cloth.

The mask is incredible to the original...I couldn’t help but grab this retro cloth...and I don’t collect so much RC...but this is awesome...couldn’t resist also because the Michael Myers from PT 2 is my favorite Michael...awesome videos brother , love watching and listening to your stuff...peace out..!

I say to each their own either it's Retro Clothed, Ultimates, or both. And yeah this figure looks good, but I'm quite happy with the Ultimate that I bought awhile back.

I got mine about a month ago and my paint on the default head is very badly done. I hate to say this, but the lines along the sides of the nose are a black, not washed or subtle, just black lines and the nose shading goes up his nose along with the mouth it's almost like they shifted it and it missed its mark. Love this figure, its great but ordering online you don't get to choose the best version you just get what they pick of a shelf. I am very grateful Neca, the all mighty has even made this figure. Mine just kinda looks like who ever painted it maybe knocked back a few the night before and was still feeling it the day mine was painted. But anyway, please Neca make us an ultimate h2 Dr. Loomis to go with the ultimate h2 Michael Myers. All Hail the Mighty Neca!!!!! Great review sir, as always.

There is enough to differentiate the retro cloth Halloween II Michael Myers when compared to the ultimate version that justifies purchasing both figures. Of course, the biggest difference is that the retro cloth version has two really good head sculpts that are way more accurate as to how Michael Myers appears in Halloween II. However, the boiler room outfit is quite a bit lighter in color when compared to the ultimate version. The figure allows for better articulation because it uses actual material for the boiler room outfit. Using ball joints for the ankles is a huge plus of course. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot. Keep it up!

The Neca H2 Myers blows the Mezco figure out of the water in terms of likeness. This figure is far superior.

Love the retro cloth, dont care what anyone says. It's the closest you can get to a miniature version of a 1/6 scale. Yes i know there is Mezco too but they're way too damn small and over priced.

This has the most accurarte Michael Myers expresion, (even more than the 12" version from Trick Or Treat studios). The only weird thing is the lips of your particular figure, the one I bought doesn't hace that problem.

When NECA released the prototype for the ultimate Halloween II Myers it looked great and very accurate. Once they released the final product they definitely dropped the ball on the paint for the head sculpt unfortunately. I did a custom paint on mine so I’m pretty happy w it now. I’m not a retro cloth guy but I had to pick up this release and the Halloween III trick or treaters. They look great displayed together

I just brought this guy tonight at my local target and I'd have to say this thing blows away the ultimate version by a mile, I think your right about the boiler suit I've always thought it looked more greyish or charcoal in color in H2 personally.....or maybe it's just the color timing of the film itself sometimes it also appears a bit green or blue depending on the lighting of the scene, I think Neca shouldn't went charcoal on this release.

I just picked this figure up today at a target.I don’t know if they are in reproduction but,when I went to get a price check it said it was out of stock.I still was able to purchase him though and he will be added to my wall of packaged retro cloth figures.

Clothed ultimate Michael Myers, is definitely more detailed. Look at the mask, this is the best of the head sculpture, and details of the mask.

A little late, but this is my favorite Myers figure- I have the H2 Ultimate but the face kind of disappoints compared to the cloth one. I know Trick or Treat Studios makes some really good Myers figures but they're over $100

Theres something about all these retro cloth figures that look WAY OFF TO ME. not sure if its that the heads are disproportionate or the shoulders are too low or a combination of both. Or the outfits are too bulky. But they end up looking more dolls sold on etsy or something

That’s the point, they all use the same stock bodies MEGO used to use. They’re not supposed to be proportionate replicas like Sideshow

@C Y Wouldnt want to.. Where i live they are peg warmers...nobody wants them. They look goofy ..ive seen em first hand and they are an easy pass for me. If you like em...hey...more power to ya. Id rather spend my money on something that doesnt look like a disproportionate ken doll. Like the arms originate from the middle of the torso. Im a retired professional sculptor of 30 years and have worked for damn near every major company out there. I know my anatomy forwards and back.. And this looks like a cheap malformed puppet. Come to modesto..theres a BUNCH of them here cos nobody wants them.. Myself included. Neca needs to update their generic male bucks. You cant use the same buck for EVERY character.. It just doesnt work. This is a shining example of it. I have the crimson ghost retro cloth figure and it doesnt look HALF as bad as this does.

@@rleeroberts6350 trust me, maybe your not interested, but is not untill you buy one and play with it that you realise this is the definitive action figure format. And for the disproportion issue... if you know how to pose it and arrange the clothing tucking and pulling at the right places (since because of the scale it doesn't fold or fall realistically unless you force it to it) is still not quite hot toys but comes close in look and realism. Besides the affordable price and practical size I still love a figure to keep a little bit of "toyetic" look instead of a super realistic and neurotic detailed piece like a Hot Toys tho.

They can’t legally make one without the Original license. But Mezco has a good 1978 figure just super expensive
