I've never seen a Laurie Strode 1978 figure!! That would be amazing! They make too many Michael Myers, and not enough other characters from the original movie!

There's a reason no other characters from the original film have been made into figures. You have likeness rights to the actors to contend with. Those are not easy to get. Sometimes it's impossible. Not only that, but you have to look at it from a business stand-point as well. A normal-looking character that doesn't really do much in the film isn't likely to sell as well. Everybody wants Michael, but how many actually want Annie, for example?

Like yourself, I've really been awaiting the release of this figure and I LOVE it. Picked mine up at Target over the weekend. Hadn't expected it to ship yet (I had pre-ordered one from BBTS). With NECA coming out with a MM from H2, I'm hoping they making a Laurie Strode from the original film.

Fine review of a long expected figure. Lever-action rifle appears to be a Winchester 1873 (lever is actually missing, as some commentators already pointed out; gun couldn‘nt be repeated without the lever), pistol-grip pump-action shotgun looks like a Mossberg 500 or 590 and the revolver closely resembles a Smith & Wesson K frame model 66 with a four inch barrel in cal. .357 Magnum.

An amazing looking figure from NECA! The head sculpt is really well done and looks very much like Jamie Lee Curtis. Great looking accessories. Love the shotgun and weathered and aged look on the rifle and knife. The "clamp " hand seems kind of silly but makes sense for resting on or holding the rifle or shotgun. I think the head with the glasses looks best. Her leather jacket is nicely done as well as her shirt and pants and boots. Articulation is pretty good. A really cool figure. Thank you so much for the great review Spot!

I believe the term you’re referring to on her shoes is an “eyelet” noun: a small round hole in leather or cloth for threading a lace, string, or rope through.

Bloodline was only added in old Halloween 2 movie. It would've been such a nice setting if it were explored in original Halloween movie but just adding it in the old sequel was more of a tactic to produce a sequel film. I feel like that's why they removed the setting though it was a fascinating setting

I loved the first Halloween but I never watched the sequels. I was afraid it could be really bad, like happend to Chuck and Freddy. However, I dit watch the new Halloween, and love it. I wouldn't count on a new Loomis. They would have to get permission from Donald Pleasance's estate, as the actor has been dead for decades, and that is not easy to do. The Loomis they did for that box set several years back was likely a one-time deal for that set only.

Having the Halloween II license does NOT mean they can make him. They would have to get the actor's likeness rights. With Donald Pleasance being dead, they would have to get permission from his estate, which would not be an easy thing to do.

Love the glasses, they have a great sculpt, but, when she is fighting Michael at the end, she's not wearing them so I'm displaying mine w/o. But they are a fantastic sculpt and it's a great look. Neca needs to make an ultimate h2 Dr. Loomis to go with the ultimate h2 Michael Myers and an ultimate Laurie in the hospital gown, or at least make a 1/4scale h2 Michael Myers, they made the 2018 Myers but for me the quintessential, definitive look for Michael Myers is dick warlocks portrayal of the shape. Great review.

Nice detailed figure but except for one thing as a fan in the movie if u noticed laurie is sporting denum blue flare jeans to kind of moderrnize her 1978 huge denum bellbotttom pants and in 2018 her pants are flare cut style jeans theres a shott of her walkibg down the trap basement in deleted scenes.. this figure wud have been more complete if they atkeast included lauries flared out jean style kinda like her bellbottoms

I just think it’s overhyped. Some people act like it’s not only the best sequel, but one of the best horror/slasher films ever. It’s very much a fine movie. It does what it needs to and that’s pretty much that. It’s really not that clever (I mean elements of the story are essentially H20 redux). I also think that knowing there will be more sequels (one is coming but judging by Blum’s comments I think he’ll milk it dry) it’s bound to end up on a similar trajectory to the old ones where people eventually grow tired of it.

@@lathanchurch8352 for me it was many things. I think it's a well done movie but as far as Halloween goes, it left me disappointed. Ignoring all the sequels I can understand. But I think ignoring 2 was a misstep. So you're left with a Michael who killed a handful of people 40 years ago. And with all its flaws, and being very dated by today's standards, I fell H20 portrayed Laurie's trauma better. For someone who had been preparing to face Michael for decades she seemed completely not ready. So her plan was to lock him in a basement and then burn the place down? If the terrible Resurrection hadn't happened then H20 gave us the satisfying ending of her decapitating Michael. It seemed to me in the new one that he came into the house more ready than her. Her character acted unbelievably stupid in the final mo of Halloween 2018. But I suppose it was the ending needed to set up a sequel.

I wouldn't count on that happening. Not only has NECA themselves expressed doubt on other characters besides Jason being made into figures, but the legal battle over the rights to Friday the 13th has recently caused NECA to lose the license entirely. They won't be doing ANY F13 figures anymore for the foreseeable future. After Ultimate Roy and Ultimate FvJ Jason come out, that's it for a while.
