She kind of just looks like Elektra from Marvel comics

Last Ronin is going to have some art styles from flashback scenes that are really specific, so the art style is going to vary a little. They did a good job at this version of her.

Hips should be at least as wide as the shoulders. That's basic female anatomy. Specially if the character is a ninja, she would have very developed leg muscles. To be honest I feel like Neca is on a downwards trend lately, regarding the quality of their sculpts. They still do some great work, but I kinda feel like them not sculpting physically anymore is hurting the quality. Physical sculpts often have a special magic to them which you can feel in the final figure, and that is hard to reproduce on digital sculpts.

Her brow shows more emotion then an entire marvel legends wave.

QOTD answer is yes. I would absolutely love if they continued any of the video game figures. I loved those paint jobs.

That Raphael next to her really puts the paint work to shame. They went all out on him.

I wish they would do the Mirage style of Karai, i am surprised that NECA has not done that yet

I'd buy ALL of the Tournament Fighters figures as long as they aren't cel-shaded. Preferably I'd want them in the toon style. Karai and Aska being my biggest wants.

You should review some Mythic Legions figures. They have a bunch of cool fantasy designs and seem great for the price, but I dont trust many reviews to be objective other than yours. Would help me decide if I should buy or not.

Tournament Fighters figure for sure! I love those versions of the turtles. I've been trying to avoid collecting a lot of lines, but I'd make space for SNES Tournament Fighter figures. I'm not a fan of the fake pixel look, but I'd deal with it to have those characters. When it comes to how Karai is represented, that's pretty much how she was drawn in the comic. Modern comics skew gender neutral when it comes to women. Can't fault the sculptor for that.

Didn't they make the bandana on Raph rotatable? Would it not be possible with the tassel hanging off the handle of her katana?

I think the likeness is fine. A lot of people have just been conditioned by the big comic companies that all of the women should look like super models. I think handsome is a good descriptor. She's a battle-hardened warrior and her design is a decent representation of that, and it's not like her design is devoid of curves. I do think she was thinner in the books where as this figure has a somewhat boxy torso. It's fine.

Neca did a great job with her in terms of how she looks, people keep complaining because they want her body to look like Electra from marvel and i think that’s what is confusing them on the way she looks

The lack of sculpted details and paint on the body makes it look cheapy. This figure almost looks like something Hasbro would make, bad articulation and all. NECA isn't renowned for their articulation, but I don't feel like the aesthetics and accessories make up for it, unlike with Classic Colors Casey Jones and Splinter

I think the face/head is maybe too wide or big? I don't know exactly what it is about this, but I could easily buy that this was a dude with long hair.

I wonder if toy manufacturers are scared to design a female figure in a particular way because the might get some backlash. But idk

It’s a good head, but poor everything else. NECA does great with mutants and monsters, but rarely do humans well imo.

I can only imagine that while falling (as on the cover art), her chesticles are also in free fall, therefore not where they would be if standing still...? I'll so some extensive research and get back to you.

Her face reminds me of Quiet from MGS5.

I don't like the mix of the cartoonish-painted body and her more realistic painted face.

its nice and clean, the usual NECA , but the face is too much on the masculine side to me...she kinda looks like .....Ralf Jones from the SNK fighting game King of fighters
