Where did Mikey go for 14 years after the death of his brothers? Michelangelo's death in the final battle in The Last Ronin storyline, Casey Marie decided to keep Mikey's legacy alive by training the next generation of turtles, following Master Splinter's old journal. But keeping four adolescent turtles focused was harder than she thought.

Heads Up (name origins for new turtles & their significance): Moja - Swahili for one. (Mikey met Shaka who was of Swahili ancestry during the Lost Years #4. He made a sacrifice that allowed Mikey to continue his quest to defeat Deathworm) Uno - Italian for one. (Mikey went to Italy to confront Deathworm during the Lost Years #5) Yi- Chinese for one. (Mikey met Master Yip who was of Chinese ancestry during the Lost Years #2. His teachings helped Mikey shake of his fighting rust.) Odyn - Ukrainian for one. (It was in Ukraine when where Mikey would part ways with Shaka and earn info he needed to find Deathworm This was during the Lost Years #4)

It is like this new Mikey once energetic just like incarnation was now as Ronin was very serious, very scary and little bit calm.

Talk about character development I would not have expected Michelangelo who was always view as not taking things seriously and is the more comical character.

I have a wild story line Idea these turtles are descendent of Mikey and raise by O neals but what if the Foot clan has their own turtle that came from Raphael DNA when they took his body after his last stand and he was created when Mikey almost single handly took out the entire foot clan headquarters in New York decided to use think about it a foot clan raise Ninja turtle and maybe even other turtles or reptiles will be experimented on using the others dna like maybe the government took Leonardo body when he died with KC and they used his DNA making a Commando turtle that the ultimate Jugernaught soldier with Gun a Mix of Solid Snake and Ghost he can be an Unstopable soldier but can also be a good commander that lead mutants recruited by the Government their could even be a storyline where they have to face eachother and current one of their goals is to destroy any trace of the original groups DNA to stop it being used to make Turtle mutants

Don't get me wrong, THE LAST RONIN was good.. I am a huge supporter of TMNT since I was a kid! But, it's kind of hard to enjoy the story when when we can clearly see all of the main strong MALE characters being killed off while all of the FEMALE characters are pushed into prominence. And now Casey Marie is going to be the one to carry on the mantle of the Hamato Clan, and be the one to train the new breed of turtles??? This just doesn't sit right with me. Mikey should still be alive to take his rightful place as the rank of "Master Michelangelo" being the last of his clan to carry on the legacy of the Hamato Clan as his father did before him. Therefore, Michelangelo would train the new batch of turtles as his father Splinter trained him and his brothers, while still training & developing Casey Marie. And Casey Marie would be more of Michelangelo's pupil/sidekick, kind of similar to Batman & Cassandra Cain... while April O'Neil's in the turtles layer as their Computer Tech assistant. So, the next mission should've been Master Michelangelo, April, and Casey Marie(with her crew) coming up with the plan to take down the next big threat to Manhattan.... and training the new bach of Turtles as his son's & daughters. That's how it should be. #Mikeymustliveagain

Yea you should touch some grass, Mikey dying was symbolic of the old generation dying and making way for the new, had nothing to do with female empowerment, they literally sidelined her and turned her to the sensei, if they wanted to make her the focus they wouldn't have made her the sensei character, you're way off
