My rescue puppy had distemper, either in utero or in his first weeks before we adopted him. He's recovered but the neurological attack left him with a tic that causes clenching and clicking of his teeth almost constantly. This has obviously caused extreme tension in his neck-to-shoulder area; there are knots and muscles are ropey-tight on all sides. I've researched neck massage techniques for dogs and have been using them. He enjoys it but after a bit, it becomes uncomfortable for him so I vary the pressure and length of time I spend in each area. Any suggestions on things I can do to help him? Note: He passed all the tests you showed in the video, and it's not affecting his balance or behavior.

my dog is having some neck pain i thought it was his shoulder but my boyfriend figured out it’s hit neck he whimpers in pain every time he moves his neck and we’re not sure why
