Neck speakers and binaural audio demo (headphones required!)

SERIOUSLY, if you don't wear headphones you are wasting your time, please give a thumbs up if you wore headphones!
If you are interested in getting some binaural microphones at a reasonable cost, please check out our on-line store over at www.sr3d.co.uk/ Please wear headphones for this at about 40% volume, you can also place your headphones under your ears for the same effect as shown here.
If you find this interesting, and rather confusing, because the sounds are being played below your ears, but you hear them above your head, this is simply the magic of binaural audio.
The reasoning for this effect is only realised when you fully understand what binaural audio is, and how it is produced, no matter how many books you read on this subject, I do not think there are many that actually are specific as to how it works other than saying it's HRTF, which I think is simply misguiding the reader, as the head is not actually required for binaural audio to work I have found.
PS.. If we get many requests for the neck speakers, we will consider adding them to our shop!

Simply the ear, and its nooks and crannies! They create a particular tone depending where the sound is coming from, and binaural recordings simply record those tones, so when played back you hear the original sounds that e=were recorded at the ear canal, so all the information of angles are simply played back, so the speakers could be l=placed anywhere and the original sounds would be perceived, but, with the added tones of your own ears, so you can actually turn your head slightly and put new pinna information on the playback for an even more convincing experience. Sounds cool, very interesting device. But the concept of some speakers that you can hold or wear publicly seems rude. I mean, why should anyone hear what you are listening to. Also, liked because i wear headphones.)

Yes, I don’t think it was intended for wearing when you are out and about, it’s more of an indoor device, or when your in your garden on a nice sunny day - Thank you for wearing your headphones and a thumbs up 👍

I've been using some wearable speakers to let people know that I'm coming up behind them when riding around town on my electric skateboard. The board itself is pretty quiet, and calling out "behind you!" As I come up can be startling to some people. Playing some generic non-offenaove music at a low volume has the effect of letting people know I'm coming up, and if they like the music they can jam along! And if not, I'm gone in a few seconds anyway. Something like this would be perfect for that, please consider adding t your shop! I would certainly buy them

@@jeffreyferguson5076 thanks very much for your reply, although playback volume on the speakers are set very low, as the volume does not have to be amplified in a great way, so using it as an awareness device for others wouldn’t be doable, though at full volume for other types of audio? I’m not sure as I didn’t see how loud it would go. I have ordered a few different models to see how these perform as this one seems to have the left/right swapped for some reason, and has been returned. If I’m on my bike and there are people about I usually say ‘on your right’ as I approach, but one of those dog clickers would probably be quite effective thinking about it if you’ve got your hands free.
