It ain't Glenn and KK but this tour Ritchie and Sneep's tone and phrasing is spot on, right and their own particular spin adds immeasurably to the catalogue of the Mighty Priest. That coming from a fan since Rocka Rolla.

Not just that, he literally does not sound bad. If he sucked now, he wouldn’t be able to even touch some of those notes in the Sentinel. He is consistently on pitch 98% of the time to this day, which is more than you can say about Coverdale, Plant, Dokken or even Gillian at this point. All these high range guys blew their voices decades ago. There was very little research about how to preserve your voice in the rock scene until the past couple decades tbh.

AHA! I was at the March 2018 show at Anthem DC. Perfect venue for me a middle aged metal-head to see an awesome concert. SAXON opened up for them and were also amazing. These "old" dudes (I swear Rob Halford and Ian Hill must both be 70 years old) really ROCK!

Saw this that same night and it was fucking great, I unfortunately had to leave part way through Priest's section to catch the metro. I wish I had some footage of when 'War Pigs' was playing over loudspeaker and everyone was singing along. That was really great too.

I will return many times to watch Judas Priest again..Maiden as well..I can't compare different styles..Just let me tell you Judas Priest is the most amazing heavy metal music ever for me.Period. I Respect others groups and shows but JP is are the truly badass heavy metal Gods.

Rob is having the most fun he’s had in a long, and he sounds fucking great for his age. Sure it’s not Glenn and K.K anymore. But K.K has turned into somewhat of a sour puss these days saying he’s “surprised” he wasn’t called to fill in for Glenn, he knows why. He doesn’t want anything to do with Preist anymore.

@@allanr6132 His voice just cracked there and went a bit higher than intended, hence it sounds so weird. Happens to the best of us :) . As for the rest of the notes - they are 100% live because they sound different every show and aren't on key from time to time.

Dave Holland used to wear some leather and studs when he played drums. He isn't in the same league as Scott though . I know I wear what works best for me when I go to work , I guess Scott just does the same.

Halfords voice sure ain't what it used to be. Of course, he's old. What can you expect I guess. They turned down to lower keys so he sounds higher. The band sounds really tired

@@gregputman his highs aren't manipulated to sound high.. they're just high. He just sings generally lower but his screams are still high as hell. That's my point. Having seen them, I can confirm because the mic at LA Live wasn't able to handle his highs
@gregputman
@gregputman 3 жыл бұрын
@@blackout.X The only thing manipulated is perception because they are playing in lower keys in order to make his voice sound higher. He is a shell of his old self. Of course, he is now an old man. That is to be expected.
