Every Necron batrep on youtube seems to run 6 Skorpekhs+Lord and the grunts never seem to actually do anything but deliver the Lord, who doesn't do a lot.

As a necron player, I confirm this always happens. Little Skorpekhs need a 5+ invuln or a points drop.

@lordravenblade I understand that sentiment. Just means that other people think they are awesome as well! Not necessarily for their rules but just the general vibe of them. If I was to run an optimised list, they wouldn't be in it unless they got a buff. But as of now, they're just staying in my fun dick about lists.

Let me help you with the narrative on this one. This is a daemon world on the edge of a necron empire that started to reclaim its old terrerotiry. The Necrons don't want this abomination on their doorstep, so they set out to purge the daemonic incursion, planning to put down nullstones (like those on Cadia, just smaller) while the daemons want to hold on to one of their scarce footholds in realspace outside of the great rift. So they clash over this Battlefield, the necrons deploying their nullstones warding of the empyral powers and the daemons enacting blasphemous Rituals to strenghten their bond with the immaterium and summon more reinforcemts to push the necrons of their planet.

I...kinda hate that Luka just gave up rolling the Great Unclean One's damage against the Void Dragon. Feels a little suck when he's stuck but he didn't even try.

Exactly, as he could have used the Shooting and Fighting to possibly bring the Shard down. Freeing up the GUO would have been big.

The set up of the GUO was more in line with a support role. The bell against the C'tan would only deal 1 damage per round, which would automatically heal up in my turn. The plague flail would not have a decent chance of hurting it either in the Shooting Phase (hitting on 4s, wounding on 5s, no special abilities). The vomit attack was always better going into the infantry that I had. If he retreated it from combat, then it wouldn't have been able to do any damage at all and the C'tan would have had free reign to kill all the plaguebearers and bloodletters with its shooting and combat sweep.

I have Necron related question about the Plasmancer. Her ability says: Living Lightning: In your Shooting phase, select one enemy unit within 18" of and visible to this model and roll one D6 for each model in that enemy unit: for each 6, that unit suffers 1 mortal wound. Do you have to fast roll that, or could you slow roll it at the start in order to target charakters? Not sure if you can do that, or if the opponent is still able to decide where do take the MW?

40k no longer uses the old psychic power system. Now attacks and abilities are labelled as "psychic"

Always will prefer 3rd edition Necrons to their 5th onwards lore. Feel like a completely different faction now. Hopefully they can get some of that back when their new codex comes out.

I thought you have to pick only a single melee weapon profile in 10th, you no longer roll all the profiles (looking at the first melee attacks from the void dragon specifically)

The void dragon’s canoptek tail blades have the extra attack keyword so can be used in addition to his main weapon.

Are you allowed to have a units base on top of a objective? I thought in 10th you are not allowed to end your move on top of one

Also, you actually can in tournament play. Haven't checked the rule myself, but a friend of mine who does check the difference a tad more carefully mentioned it being changed there. 'Cose playing by the same rules for more than a month is just so boring to today's TikTok-designers. 😂

Jeez, I feel like Necrons are under powered. I have watched a couple battles and it is enemy = re-rolls/more attacks, then necrons = ok, bring 1 model back.

A lot of people playing Necrons on camera aren't bringing the best of the best stuff. Because it doesn't make for a fun video. I could have brought, like, 20 Lychguard, a Sempiternal Weave Transcendent C'tan, and multiple Doomsday Arks, but that's not as interesting as some of the wild units you can take such as Destroyers and Canoptek stuff.
