After many attempts, I finally did it! Beating the 510 in the Hotting Up event from the Hot Pursuit Remastered trailer with the Mazda RX-8! Showcasing that the Rotary Rocket can do in this game.

To all those who say that the engine would break due to constantly being in redline you know nothing about rotary engines. Rotaries love high revs. And they were the most successful engines in 24hrs of le mans. That's because of the lack of other moving parts such as camshafts, valves , timing belts etc that would wear and tear during the race. Ironically rotaries are more reliable than traditional piston engines in racing. Just type mazda racing in le mans

Fun fact: You can hit 200MPH In AUDI TT-RS of Performance Series and u don't even need turbo... Just make sure ur are in its top speed and a full nos bar in a long straight with no traffic (recommended) I hit 200 mph on it and I'm ashamed I didn't rec it

This game demo was first released in 2008. Written on DirectX9 API. Showing off the Frostbite Engine being used for the first time ever in racing title. And EA decided to remaster this one instead of old Most Wanted or Carbon. This game alone visually ahead of its time and doesn't look Outdated yet.

Actually, that made it worse as the ram did drop his speed, and he intend to stay on asphalt to better maintain his high speed. Notice RX8 struggle to maintain high speed off the road.

@@dbclass4075 However it did reduce his top speed, the path was a little bit of a shortcut, because he didn't have to take that slight turn at the Asphalt. It could be either way, slower or faster, but unless he makes an identical run with him taking the asphalt, we may not know for sure.

I think so, since the AI use rubberband. I must acknowledge that the final race does have weak rubberband and the AI always falls behind by landslide.

Wankel engines can rev higher than that. The redline is more for transmission not destroying itself.

Dudes I remember Nfs Porsche Unleashed (google it) when I was little. This Hot Pursuit from 2010 is still pretty new game lol and I'm not even 30 yo, guess I should be retired already.

YRS2703 yeah because Mercedes sold their stake in McLaren and licensing issues are nightmares. Also the Stirling Moss edition too
