One trick I found that helps me with a piece that has multiple rows is to press it with an iron and a cloth over it using some sizing spray. Keeps me sane as I continue working on my project. Hope that's helpful to others.

I want you to know I’m a beginner and I made this as you made it, you give great instructions, the only problem I had with it was connecting those last two rings for the life of me I tried a couple different ways to pick up that last picot it ended up being twisted on me but I’m making a set of twelve for my niece for her Christmas tree next year… plan to starch them and make a hanging knotted string to have them from, thank you for sharing this I’m now a subscriber, but you forgot to put the link to weaving in the ends but I figured it out lol… Thank you for posting, PS I used #10 thread it’s bigger but looks great!! Wish I could post a pic here…

I just finished your Snowflake by using White Metallic Crochet Thread Size 10. It is much bigger than yours as you had predicted and I still love the results. My 1st needle tatting project all thanks to your great instructions.

Love the way you teach and demonstrate. I've been asking for instructions on needle tatting....oh not honey you mean shuttle tatting. No my grandmother did needle tatting and Irish crochet. As a kid I was too busy to learn, sadly. Thankful I found your videos. I really messed this Star up, tied off at five points, I'm not giving up!!

I been taking sign language classes. I work at a school where we have a few classes of hard of hearing students. I just think sign language is such a beautiful language 😉

Mine didn’t end up looking like yours quite. Do you keep your stitches very very tight?
@MariaPapia4 жыл бұрын
No very tight just enough for them to slide up and down the needle

Maria Papia I am very very new to this and the simplest things seem so hard. I can’t figure out how to do this snowflake: 4.bp.blogspot.com/-1HC6O77g4xk/U4ts9MP2w2I/AAAAAAAAAYY/sg8_4KELJdI/s1600/photo%2B3.JPG Can you make a tutorial? I’m sure it’s very easy. It’s the design tutorial snowflake on this page tattingbythebay.blogspot.com/p/free-patterns.html?m=1 But as your snowflake is the only tatting I have ever done it seems very hard. Here is your snowflake I made facebook.com/1359952377/posts/10215510734705731?sfns=mo

I understand if you don’t want to show how to do the other ornament. You are so advanced the other ornament must look incredibly boring to do. Thank you anyway.
