Hello from California. I have never used a stand before but I have seen others use them on videos. Thank you for the information you gave on stands. I think it will help me choose the right one when I am ready to make a purchase.

This is interesting. I purchased the K's Creations floor stand, because I was able to order an extra long height pole, as I stitch in bed and my bed is 36" tall. I am fairly new to needlepoint, and do all the research before making big purchases.

Thanks for that informative video. I have a needlework system stand. I asked my husband to loosen the turn part, well now it wont stay tight…eeek. Do you know where they sell those systems?

La Verne from Arizona. I use a Lowery at home and a system 4 lap stand for classes. I just inherited a system 4 floor stand that I am looking forward to using.

Hi Ellen,, Thank you for the video! Very helpful! 2 questions Can the vertical pole be adjusted up and down? Can the stand be used from the side of the chair? You are the best! Nila

Hi Nila! On the Needlework System 4 stand, you can adjust the angle of the vertical pole and the Travel-Mate center pole telescopes a little bit. The standard floor stand does not telescope. I've never tried using the NWS4 stand from the side of my chair and I don't believe it would work very well, if at all. The Lowery stand vertical pole can be adjusted up and down and it may also be used from the side of a chair. That's actually the reason I bought mine. The only "negative' I've run into, so far, is that the width of the chair's arm will be a factor in how easily you can work from the side of your chair. I hope this helps... 😊

I use a similar needlepoint stand, but find my metal version not holding my needlepoint piece really well in the clamp. It doesn't keep it tight when I have to turn the piece over. What type of frame do you put your needlepoint canvas on?

Watching from Falls Church, VA. I use a System 4 travel stand. How do you use scroll bars with it?

Hi LaVerne! That's a terrific question! I actually don't use the TravelMate with scroll frames. I use one of my K's Creations stands with scroll frames. I believe there are attachments that you can purchase that will convert your TravelMate to be able to handle scroll frames, though. Hope this helps... 😊

Hi Susan The lap stand should work for you. Do you have a local needlepoint shop nearby that might let you "test drive" one?

Can you use the Oxford Gripper Frame with this Frame Clamp? Can you use a Morgan non-slip Hoop with the Frame Clamp?

Those are terrific questions. I'm so sorry, but I'm not familiar with the products you're asking about. My best suggestion is to reach out to the company. They have a terrific customer service department and I'm sure they'd be glad to assist. 😊

Can the frame clamp be used with scroll frames?

Not very well... it has a tendency to slip. A better alternative for scroll frames would be the Lowery. OR the Needlework System 4 has their own scroll frames that you can attach to the stand. 😊

Are the stands available in the UK?

I'm not sure if the System 4 stands are available in the UK. My best suggestion is to check with the company directly. I have found them to be very responsive. Keeping my fingers crossed for you... 😉
