This song just wrecks me emotionally. I deal with mental health issues and sometimes I get sidetracked by the world. It’s warming to know that God is always with us, wanting us to be his children.

"Let my past mean nothing, make it powerless. I am free like a river. I am free like a river. You're my hope unbroken. You're my innocence. I'm free like a river. I'm a child again." This is honestly what if means / feels like to be born again. Jesus literally washing away your past, and freeing you from all condemnation and religion, so you can walk with Him in holiness and innocence. Try Jesus friends, I promise you He's better than anyone could ever preach, imagine or dream.

It makes me think of the verse in the Bible where it says that we have to humble ourselves as a child if we want to enter the kingdom of Heaven. We have to let ourselves become dependent on our Father. 💚🤍

Psalms 131:2 " But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content." Surely make me child again oh Lord.

I called on Jesus name 14 years ago November 4th. And I met Him. He restored my innocence because it was robbed by the devil through an uncle when I was 6. I feel like a child again. Praise Jesus. He is sooooo good!!!!

Children allow their parents to take care of them. They are dependent on their parents. Are you allowing God to take care of you? Are you being a child? Are you giving Him total control of your life?

Childhood is the only phase of life where everyone 100% work from heart. 😢❤

Every line in this song is EXACTLY what I feel. I, like many others unfortunately, experienced a very difficult childhood. So much so, that I was never able to be a child. I cared for my sister since the age of 8 and fought for my life against the one woman who was supposed to protect me from it all. I don't know if needtobreathe ever gets to read these comments, but I hope they know how much this album, and this song in particular, have helped me.
