This song reminds me of growing up and how we loose our innocence as we grow older. We have to hang on to our innocence as this world tries to strip it away. Keep that Child like faith as we grow in wisdom.

My daughter introduced my husband and I to you about 2 years ago. We both loved and embraced your joyful inspiring music. Hello, I don't know you but I know what you're going through. I had a bout of severe depression about a year ago. Contemplated suicide more than a few times. My life is a non stop battle with good and bad things. For some reason my soul connects with this music on a scale I cannot describe. For me what convinced me in the end was that I was not going to allow life to get the better of me. I will not give up, I will not surrender. Do not let life dictate your future, you give life a kick in the ass.

When I was fighting for my life in Nov'21 on the ventilator from Covid- at 3am in the morning- I remember it clear as day! This was the song that I awoke to on the TV music channel and from that moment on my medical team kept telling me I was a MIRACLE and they never saw any patient like me in the state I was in. I knew listening to this song- that I had to FIGHT and that the Lord had never left my side.

A few months ago, I picked a random Indie folk playlist to listen to while I cleaned the cheetah exhibit. This song came on and I stopped what I was doing to look at my phone because I enjoyed it so much. I didn't realize it was needtobreathe who I have listened to on the radio for years. As I listened to the song, I started to tear up. When I picked the zookeeper career path, I was full of passion and determination. But even though I had achieved the goal I worked so hard for, it had taken a toll. The Georgia humidity, sweat, being away from the small town I loved but left, all made me forget why I was there. I listened to this song and it reminded me. It reminded me that things take time, to look back but don't look too long, and to hang on. Since then I've been offered a position much closer to home doing exactly what I've always wanted. So thank you for helping me hang on to my love drunk original reason, it made a difference.

I saw you guys April 10th of 2019 in LA and it was a great concert! I’m headed off to college at Grand Canyon University, but as a new Christian your music has helped me a lot with my faith and I appreciate it. I was late to the party with this band, I found them in 2017 through a hockey montage on Instagram, but I love their music so much. Thanks for making my high school experience memorable, and keep making great music!

I love these songs that have a deep story behind them. The kind that you study and find hope in. As a 16 year old aiming and tirelessly trying to seek God deeper and deeper, asking to marry a godly girl I know one day, and for the patience I need to stand firm. That is what this song is written about I discovered... restless men or even women trying to grow up in this hostile world and that "hang on" and "these things they, take time" have encouraged me so much. This reminds me of something my mom used to do. She would take these "mental pictures" of happy moments - and then remind herself of them when we were going through dark times. She would tell us and herself that those moments of beauty and contentment would come back; we just had to be patient. Thank you for reminding me of my mother's good advice!
