I totally agree with this! They seemed to intentionally make it so she didn't know about all the sacrifices he made for her. They hardly even mentioned him in Legacies and they never really mentioned Hayley much either. They kind of make a plot hole by doing that because Hope misses her mom in the originals after she is a major part of the reason she died to begin with, but rarely mentioned her in Legacies? I mean she sure took it out on an already guilt ridden Elijah! She should have felt more guilty for it herself! Because she didn't seem to know how much Elijah sacrificed for her or that he loved her as much as he did, she came off like a brat! Adult Hope ruined the show in my opinion. I hated that Elijah died, but I'm glad when everyone told him he needed to be there for Hope, he decided to finally do one thing for his own happiness by going to have his peace with Hayley. Hope didn't deserve such an amazing uncle

I'm still bitter at s5 for what they did to their relationship. Elijah truly was the first person, even before Klaus and Hayley, to fight for Hope and he truly was willing to do anything for her! What happened when his memories were gone is just so tragic and I'm sad they didn't get to spend more time together. But still, they were super special and so is this video. Well done. One of your more heartbreaking ones.

If not for Elijah and his devotion to his family, it would’ve fallen apart ages ago. Hope would not survive. Klaus would not have found redemption. Rebecca would not know peace and happiness. Frya would not have found her family. And Haley would’ve been alone and unloved. He was the heart of the show. The soul of the mikalson family. The best original

I absolutely hate that they ruined Elijah & Hope's relationship. Elijah loved her like she was his own daughter, fought for her before Klaus ever did and truly was willing to put his whole life on the line for her before she was even born. I wish we got more scenes of them together and that they fixed their relationship at the end of the show.

This was an Absolute Fantastic Masterpiece for Elijah and Hope’s Relationship. I wish that Elijah was still alive because he could’ve helped Hope regained her Humanity sooner after she turned it off like he helped Klaus regained his humanity and she could’ve helped him get over his guilt for Hayley’s death. I can’t wait to your video for Hope and Rebekah.

elijah loved hope even when she wasn't born yet, he fought for her, he protected her. it's truly a shame, they ruined that relationship. elijah was hope's second father. even in the legacies, hope still hates elijah, i wish hope could see how much elijah truly loved her.

Elijah cares so much about her and he loves her he was there for her for every breakdown and he said he was the monster when she said it was her fault he said no it wasn’t and Hope was hurting so much that even though she loved him she couldn’t bear it all that pain

I didn't wake up for violence this morning. That said, this is such a beautiful piece. I love the relationship between Elijah and Hope. Yes she is the child of Hayley and Klaus, but she has a lot of her Uncle Elijah in her personality. I will never understand the need to kill off Elijah at the end of The Originals. He should have been there to help Hope in life, try to keep her on the right paths and regain her humanity when she turned it off. Yes, others pointed her acting like her father, but of Elijah was there and pointed out the same, I think the effect would have been greater. A beautiful relationship that ended far too soon.

Here all Elijah fan saying Elijah is the savior of this family which is true. And it is also true there should be mentioned Elijahs name in legacy. It seems Elijah has been forgotten in legacy which is painful because this man sacrifice everything for his brother and all his family.

They did Elijah so dirty in S5 he was the first person to actually care about Hope, Klaus didn’t give a damn about Hope at the start and Hayley tried abortion. Elijah was the one that changed their minds. He loved Hope as if she were his own child. He would’ve sacrificed everything to save her! They just had to ruin their relationship by making him kill Hayley. After that it all just went downhill, Hope despised Elijah for ‘killing’ her mother and Elijah blamed himself too. That didn’t stop him from caring for her tho he was still willing to sacrifice himself instead of Klaus just so she could have a father as he didn’t want to leave her orphaned. I’m glad in the second to last episode we did get to see them getting along together. The writers literally ruined every good thing we had and it just really pisses me off!
