Jared here in NYS the knife laws have changed. We can now buy OTF/switch blades if they are carried while hunting and fishing. in short places should ship to us. Also, in NYC the 2" blade length is now gone. We have a state wide 4" limit.

Shoot man! I had no idea GP KNIVES was sooo close to me! I’m down in STL and GP knives is just across the river and a little drive. I’ve probably driven past it before and didn’t even know it! All in all, it’d take me 48 minutes to get there from where I’m at! I’m gonna have to take a pilgrimage there sometime when I have some more money because I definitely wouldn’t be able to just go there and look around without leaving with something to play around with for the drive home! Oh man that’s so awesome! I had no clue! No wonder you get things from GP so quickly! If you didn’t know, like I didn’t know either, they, GP knives, are basically right outside of East Saint Louis, in Illinois. Which is about 21 miles from the Gateway Arch in downtown STL on the Missouri side of the Mississippi River, the MO/IL border. That’s just a hop, skip, and a couple jumps in the car! The roads in Illinois get pretty bad and might launch the car a time or two.. but that just adds to the fun, I just won’t play around with my new knives from the GP trip until I get back into Missouri! Haha! 🙃😉😝😁

I've had a BIG problem with kershaw! Bought a Launch 11 from them in September. It developed a rattle in the pivot when closed. I sent it to them, at quite an expense. UPS $22 plus a $7 hanfling fee. I got it back stating they "greased the spring". I found zero evidence of any repair and to top it off, they didn’t even sharpen it and it still has the rattle! I watched a video of you trying to take one apart and you easily stripped one of the back screws! I tried myself and promptly, all too easily, stripped both back screws! I'm convinced those screws are designed to strip easily. (The belt clip screws are the same size, T6, and they're easily removed) Further evidence they never touched the knife. When I called warranty service, the condescending rep gave me lame excuses that insuted my intelligence. That's my first and last experience with kershaw. Never again!

I think that the blade bending and staying bent insn't necessarily a bad thing. As long as it can be bent straight without breaking. Victorinox products tend to bend and stay bent like that. It's not like they are making knives out of spring steel. In terms of the washers getting damaged. I think that was an intentional choice by Kershaw. Often times you purposely choose unhardened components as an engineered failure point. Otherwise a more expensive component like the knife scales will be damaged from abuse. I have purchased knives like the tops Buck Csar-T so that I have a hard use knife with a great heat treat. Which I can use to stab and twist a hole in a pine 2x4 WITHOUT damaging the blade or the tip. But you are talking about 154CM with a Bos heat treat. That's a tough knife. Likely tougher than the Magnacut with a very thin bladestock and an inferior heat treatment. The bronze washers are definitely more suited to hard use than bearings found in the Kershaw. Overall, it's my opinion that the hard use test ended as I expected. Considering the design, materials, and use intended for the Belair. I watched some Russians hard use test a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 before I bought my own. The tip is very brittle and delicate. It's a good knife, but I doubt if Spyderco makes a paramilitary 2 in Magnacut. That their knife will fare much better than this Kershaw in a hard use test with prying.
