i see your point but the 2 logos have enough variation to be different logos, there are differences if you look

I really appreciate that you show your step by step thinking and storyboarding process from start to finish. Some designers only show the creation of the final product which tells a very limited piece of the process, but the brainstorming and ideation process is the most important IMO.

i loved this video. so cool seeing your process. im a gd major and im finally getting to this stage where i have artboards full of different designs, and it's reassuring seeing someone else that's successful doing the same kinda process. i have so many 'aha' moments when reversing colors like you did in this video, it just works great sometimes. i subbed :)

SACTICAL BAG are you even serious right now because i can't figure it out 🤦🏻‍♀️ mountains have been a symbol of faith since forever and a recurring motif in the Bible. Yes, it does look more like and outdoor brand company but what does that have to do with freaking NEW AGE?

GeneseChannel Basically it's important to target for the new generation for Christianity. That's why churches are now going for modern designs. I don't like boring church such as slow musics. I listen to EDMs. Like seriously. I'm a Chrsitian btw. Churches these days mix their musics with some digital sounds. It's awesome and not like the old styled churches. All churches are unique in their own ways but I would still prefer the new generation churches and their work to bring up the new generarion for God. Also Christianity is verified as religion but for Christians it's the relationship between God and us. If you don't go to church it's ok. God is everywhere and will listen.

Hi Will! Thanks for sharing this process, it's always great to see how you work on different projects. There is a tiny moment I loose and it makes me mad why I don't know: At 7:10 you rounded the whole object's edges by calling a shortkey or tool. How did it happen exactly? What did you use? I think it turned out really good. I'm using Afinity Designer and not Illustrator, but I suppose the final save format should be the same; When you're through with all your layers and art boards, how do you go about flattening and saving your final design? Thanks

Will, ive been going round and round trying to figure out if i should sketch before illustrator or if i can jump straight into illustrator like this vid and doodle there until i get the concept...any thoughts on one over the other? Also, do you sketch at all in front of your clients during the breifing? or just gather information about the feel and meaning behind what they want?

Once you've designed the logo and sent all comparable files to the client, do you do and further printing for them and banner or poster or billboard work for them? Or do you just design the logo and type for then and that's it?

I like the look of it, but, even though it might be on purpose, the fact that the left angle on each mountain are different really bugs me. The angles are very similar, but slightly different and it sets me off.

hey can you please tell me how did you get the cornets from pointy to round propotionately using your direct selection tool at 7:11 It'll change my logo game because i do that manually & it's a hassle. :(

If you have the updated adobe CC those little round circle that he clicks and drags (which rounds the corner) should always pop up when you are in the selection tool and click an object. Unfortunately if you have an older version of illustrator that tool doesn't exist.

I see what you mean about be careful. With prices like 5 dollars for basic logo design you can't really go wrong but the reviews of false information are enough to sway a lot of people including myself. I may just try to do something basic myself and put business money aside for a pro designer.

Did you get paid 50% up front, did you go free? I only ask because a Church holds a bit of a different position in some people's eyes. Did you push moral sense to the back a bit or go forward with business?

"Guaranteed you'll go to heaven, or your money back." Yeah, I've been seeing a lot, and I mean a lot of small garage churches opening around town, all with their flashy "brands" and trippy names. I know I could easily approach them and offer my services, but I've actually made a commitment to stay away from them. I was raised religious, and thought I'm not even there anymore, I've still got a lot of respect for religious people (the sound ones), and I don't like this whole commercialized church movement. Honestly, I don't like it at all. Nice brand though. Good job.

Lol to be fair the world has changed why wouldn’t the church ? The directors and members are as young as 20 of course the “flashiness” of its name and brand will too. Don’t forget everyone born in the 1930s will be dead in less than 10 years. 1930s was the rise of the church.
