This video shows the 'disgusting mess' left behind in an alleyway after police raided a suspected cannabis farm on a street in Manchester.
Residents said they've tried to contact the town hall to shift the unsightly and dangerous dump, but 'bulky collections' were not available. Manchester council said on its website its usual collection service wasn't running 'as we are currently updating our booking system'.
As a result, the alleyway off Rushmere Avenue in Levenshulme resembles a waste tip, but with cannabis farm debris including plant pots and hydroponic equipment.
The Manchester Evening News reported the police raid late last month. Greater Manchester Police confirmed a cannabis farm was discovered and a scene was put in place overnight. No arrests were made and the force said in a statement that enquiries were ongoing.
