World famous astrophysicist and author Neil deGrasse Tyson joins Piers Morgan Uncensored for a thrilling interview in which they discuss how science can solve war, if aliens really exist and if it will be possible in our lifetime to live on the moon or even Mars. Piers also asks Neil about gender identity and the problems caused by transgender athletes in women's sport and the professor comes up with a solution that might just be a way to include transgender athletes in sports in a fair way.

In the existence where we live, God said there is ONLY good or evil. We are made in the image of God & it's a choice as to whom we choose to serve. God set down rules, laws, commands & teachings to which all of mankind will be judged. God said he will not allow these forbidden pleasures into the Kingdom of Heaven: homosexuality, murder, fornication, adultery, liars, thieves, gossipers, usurpers or idol worshipers...because these rebellious acts are not OF God, but they are OF Satan. Tyson, in a NUT shell, is serving the world & all its chaotic thinking, speaking & acting. As in Sodom, where its citizens chose to change themselves into both sexes & reject the laws of God, Sodom was destroyed, obliterated, so that not a living thing has grown or housed another human being, nor grown a blade of grass, for centuries. Tyson IS a false prophet who promotes the kingdom of the world. If you don't know God, you'll believe anything he says.

Thank you, this is very helpful. 16:30 is interesting. Neil talks about how repeating falsehoods over and over again leads people to believe they are true. Neil actually uses this. In his attacks on religion he has uses five false histories which he repeats over and again. His fictitious histories have been very effective in driving people from faith. The efforts of anti-theists have had two effects: 1) Churches are in decline. Church memberships of all faiths are falling. 2) By driving rational thinkers from our churches, Tyson et al have made our churches, mosques and synagogues more toxic. In my opinion the first is a negative trend. I'd guess Richard Dawkins, Neil Tyson et al would disagree. The 2nd is a negative trend no matter your point of view. Someone may be thinking "Five false histories? What is he going on about?". I will talk about one Neil's fictions here. Tyson likes to say Newton could have easily done Laplace's n-body perturbation theory in an afternoon. After all Newton invented calculus and explained elliptical orbits on a dare, in two months -- all before he turned 26. But Newton just stopped because he had God on the brain. Newton did not just stop. He returned to the n-body problem again and again throughout his lifetime. In particular Newton invested a great deal of time and effort trying to model the 3-body system of the earth, moon and sun. Tyson's claim is demonstrably false from the get go. Regarding inventing calculus on a dare -- Halley's famous question was asked in 1684 when Newton was in his 40s. So this "dare" didn't occur before Newton turned 26. Newton didn't reply to Halley "I don't know" and then come back two months later with the answer. Newton told Halley inverse square gravity results in elliptical orbits, that he had calculated it. And so he had. Newton had been working on the problem for around two decades. So this bit about Newton working it out in two months is also false. There is some truth to Newton working on calculus before he turned 26. Isaac Barrow was Newton's older Cambridge colleague. Barrow, Fermat, Descartes, Cavalieri and others had laid the foundations of calculus in the generation before Newton and Leibniz. In 1665 Barrow made Newton aware of these efforts. Newton spent the next three years organizing these ideas and adding his own. So, again, not in two months. It was three years on Newton's part -- and decades from men in the generation prior to Newton. And obviously not because of Halley's "dare" made nearly twenty years later. Tyson talks about scientists strive to agree based on evidence. Which works great if all the players are interacting honestly and in good faith. This is not the case with Tyson. People were telling Tyson of his errors regarding Newton as early as 2014. So far as I know Tyson has never admitted error nor made any effort to correct the misinformation he's spread. Tyson, Dawkins, et al are happy to let this story remain in circulation. Never mind that it's addled and false. So long as it is effective they will conveniently ignore the fact that it's steaming mound.

Neil deGrasse Tyson never said anything specific about Ukraine or Russia, or if there are nasiz in these countries or what tools to use to find out if there are. I personally think nationalists are the only thing that keeps nation separate from any neighboring nation that might otherwise very similar. Outstanding. Well worth the time invested. Now to send the link to my grandchildren and hope they take the time to view it. When I thaght high school chemistry in the 1960’s the first day discussion was the disclaimer that what we were going to discuss for the following year was not truth but rather the best information that I had at the time. It was made clear that it was up to them to improve our understanding and question the “truths” that are offered. They were to be taught how to think like a scientist and chemistry was to be the vehicle used to get to that understanding. I was good to see Dr. Tyson espouse that same philosophy

I like what NDT said about Twitter and people's rage if someone's opinion doesn't agree with theirs. This is true and it's way outta hand. I remember when people were 'allowed' to have opinions and if you didn't agree with them, you simply ignored it. This culture of having people lose their jobs and being cancelled reminds me of the novel ' The Scarlet Letter'. The book used to be required reading in high school. They need to bring that back.

The transgender in women sports section is a gem from Neil. This is why science education is important. Not because you can solve a hard math problem but because it allows you the ability to think about how to approach a new and unknown problem. Fauci knew he lied when he was against masks. In his own mind was in the public good to spare masks for frontline health workers. It was still a lie and it's bloody annoying to see someone exalt science and politik at the same time. That's why he's a planetarium director and not a serious astrophysicist. Don't get me wrong, he's a great science communicator, but if he want's to exalt science like it's a religion, then let's not forget this is someone who has not participated in the scientific process. That begins with not being intellectually dishonest
@gramma677
@gramma677 8 ай бұрын
There is no bloody scientific view on how to deal with war and conflict. Disputes were traditionally resolved by the humiliating process of destroying someones philosophy and idea about the world. There is no scientific view on matters of politics, there is politics in science itself. There is science communication and there is coming up with stuff off the cuff and the two are bloody mutually exclusive.
@gramma677
@gramma677 8 ай бұрын
Science is not exquisitely tuned to nothing, we are not in lord of the rings, scientists are not elves. There is garbage science, there is good science, there is hardly a corrective mechanism to discern the two. If we want to exalt science like a religion then we are lost. Let us not succumb to this medieval way of thinking.

But that's the thing - scientists who do that usually have to sacrifice their scientific life to a degree, and not many are willing. You can't be a public spokesperson and fully committed to your scientific work at the same time. That is the same for any profession, you are basically doing two full time jobs, one is going to suffer. And the people you mentioned started doing their science communication only when their academic work ended/slowed down, in their later stages in life. Which is also what happens in other professions - at some point, you move from doing the work, to teaching it. Which is what they are doing. But if every scientist was like the folks you mentioned, no work would ever be done. Science is done by people in their 20's, 30's, early 40's, who basically LIVE science and don't have much else to do. And you are not getting those people to come and communicate with the public. Which is why you didn't have Niel or Brian doing the things they are doing in their 30's when they were on the frontiers of scientific work and discovery.

It was kind of Tyson not to call Piers on the fact that there's no evidence Einstein ever coined that phrase about insanity.
