I have loved this song for years and I think I finally understand it. The song is about the early stage of a romance when you believe that your love interest is perfect, someone with no flaws, someone who can walk on water. This is one of Neil's great songs. He truly deserves his selection to the rock n roll hall of fame.

Neil has so many songs, you tend to forget some of them. This has always been one of my favorites.
