Maybe the song is designed to evoke the two sided coin effect. Yes don’t betray trusted friendship, but as well how has the character of Judas been portrayed, a villain, greedy and selfish, but did he not fulfill the will of God? He had to wrestle with that and ultimately took his own life in consequence. He did fulfill God’s plan. If not him who then? Just some thoughts from an old atheist man.
