Sitting on the silver strand, the fall of 1967, Buffalo Springfield again-“broken arrow” I was 17 years when I first heard that song, I am 73 now but i won’t be for long. Thanks neil

Neil Young with Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp are planning on doing a Farm Aid concert 2023 😎 I'm sure I won't be able to go even if it was right here. Can't afford tickets anymore but glad they're still making music and helping family farms disappearing to corporate farms accountable to no one.

@@izasana47I've just about had all I can take of the inaction on this subject! So many nefarious things can be seen through researching how these corporate feed lots came about. Pesticides - POISONS - being sprayed on our genetically modified frankenfood.

@@ohgawd That Walmart milk is sold for less than what it costs to produce it and it is driving dairy farmers passed down generation to generation to lose their business and sell their farm because they can't afford to sell their milk at a loss which is what Walmart is doing. That's just a tiny piece of the problem and how much do you think Walmart will charge for milk once they run all the competition away? When corporations are the sole suppliers of ag products? I've been watching the orchards and pastures being developed into gated communities and no more fruit stands. I live in the 100 mile radius in California that produces most of the fruits and vegetables and nuts. Everyone here depends on agriculture. They are building residential areas all the way to the Sierra foothills and it was Hereford cattle grazing but they are all gone. It's crazy, paving over the richest agricultural land in the world and building parking lots where there were almond orchards and livestock. Not to mention the lack of water for the rapid population growth.

u go to see him at least once ....last time i could see him live was in Belgium , 4 years ago . There weren't many European dates & he was touring with Bob Dylan & playing with Willy Nelson's sons . It was pretty amazing . My Best memory of Neil live is anyway to this day the 95 " Mirror Ball " tour with members of Pearl Jam ( except Eddie Vedder ) - That gig we saw in Belgium was felt like a Hurricane ...music fans i knew could not stop talking about that Phenomenal performance , even weeks after it happened . It imprinted people's hearts for ever . He is one of the last Rock / Folk Treasures alive with Paul Mc Cartney & Ringo Star

It reminds me of the soundtrack to Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid, Bob Dylan. People are saying that Guns and Roses wrote Knockin'On Heaven's Door, it's Bob Dylan. I know Neil Young and Dylan played together

The Ragged Glory era was a very productive time for Neil. A lot of his best mid-life songs came from those sessions. This is another wonderful song among the many. Very enjoyable.

My pop was the biggest Neil Young fan.. He was slightly before his time but his uncle took to him his show when he was a young teen and that day changed his life. It also changed mine too despite me not being there. Thanks for the music Neil and inspiring us all.

Beautiful, as always. I have been listening to Neil and company (or solo) since I bought "After the Gold Rush" when I was 13 (53 years ago). Then Harvest and everything else I could get my hands on. His music speaks for itself. It not only tells a story, but it also conveys ideas and truth. Neil, Dylan, The Grateful Dead, The Band, CCR, Simon and Garfunkel, Jim Croce, and others were the soundtrack of my youth, and there is still solace there. The hard rockers smash your gut, while these touch my heart and soul.

@@danielrose3434 me too. I’m a big fan of Crazy Horse, and imo the last great album from them was 2012s Psychedelic Pill. The last three, Colorado, Barn, and World Record have been pretty bad. The Promise of the Real records have been awful too.

Neil can make a *Glorious Solo* out of simply switching between repetitively plucking the two high notes, then moving down to the one note low string, then rise up to the two high notes, back n forth, as in the Intro from 0:00 for 33 seconds and repeated throughout "Interstate" ❤ at 3:58

@pben4218 - This acoustic version was recorded during the "Ragged Glory" sessions in 1990 . . . but Neil originally performed it live in 1985 with his band at the time The International Harvesters. Mid 80s, but was recorded for Ragged Glory. Eventually he put it out as a b-side on the Big Time single from Broken Arrow but that was a limited release.
