This is good despite being painful to hear, because it ends up more *emotional* than the original. It sounds *desperate*, like the singer is also in pain, forcing the lyrics through a digital acid bath spinning at thrice the speed of light. The world is tormented twisting through unknowable dimensions, every intake of breath tears at your lungs, and through that inferno rise Rob Thomas's words of devotion and agony. I imagine lots of songs would sound more powerful and meaningful than they actually do if they were set on the surface of the sun. Also Smash Mouth drops by to, like, poke at you with a pitchfork.

Man, it's a hot one Like seven inches from the midday sun Well, I hear you whispering and the words melt everyone But you stay so cool My muñequita, my Spanish Harlem Mona Lisa You're my reason for reason The step in my groove, yeah And if you said this life ain't good enough I would give my world to lift you up I could change my life to better suit your mood, yeah 'Cause you're so smooth Well, and it's just like the ocean under the moon Well, it's the same as the emotion that I get from you You got the kind of lovin' that can be so smooth, yeah Give me your heart, make it real Or else forget about it Well, I'll tell you one thing If you would leave, it'd be a crying shame In every breath and every word I hear your name calling me out, yeah Out from the barrio, you hear my rhythm on your radio You feel the turning of the world so soft and slow Turning you 'round and 'round And if you said this life ain't good enough I would give my world to lift you up I could change my life to better suit your mood, yeah 'Cause you're so smooth Well, and it's just like the ocean under the moon Well, it's the same as the emotion that I get from you You got the kind of lovin' that can be so smooth, yeah Give me your heart, make it real Or else forget about it Well, the years start comin' and they don't stop comin' Fed to the rules, and I hit the ground runnin' Didn't make sense not to live for fun Your brain gets smart, but your head gets dumb So much to do, so much to see So what's wrong with taking the back streets? You'll never know if you don't go You'll never shine if you don't glow Hey now, you're an all star Get your game on, go play Hey now, you're a rock star Get the show on, get paid All that glitters is gold Only shootin' stars break the mold Well, and it's just like the ocean under the moon Well, it's the same as the emotion that I get from you You got the kind of lovin' that can be so smooth, yeah Give me your heart, make it real Or else forget about it, yeah Or else forget about it Oh, or else forget about it Oh, let's don't forget about it Give me your heart, make it real Oh, let's don't forget about it, yeah Let's don't forget about it, yeah, oh no Oh, let's don't forget about it, oh no, no Oh, let's don't forget about it, yeah, oh no Oh, let's don't forget about it Yeah, yeah
