@@miguelhuerta4561 and… one of those times was incredibly successful and statistically very impressive. addiction recovery is not weighed by how many times you have tried something. the fact that she (i assume) relapsed and knew immediately to go to rehab is so amazing and so promising. idk what point your trying to make, maybe its an innocuos correction but it doesnt fully read that way

The thing I remember about that 2004 tsunami was this British 10 year old girl who had just learned the signs of a tsunami in geology class recently and tried to warn everyone, no one believed her at first but her dad saw how panicked she was and decided to mention it to some security guy who was Japanese and knew a bit about tsunamis and took it more seriously and was able to evacuate the beach and it ended up saving like a couple hundred people. Like kudos to her for saying that, for spilling.

Fafsa is SO HARD if you are missing a parent. I struggle with procedural things and the difficulty i had getting any support while file as a independent (because i was) was so hard i cried multiple times, and considered HVAC as an alternative!!

@@polisherci So unlike a scholarship(private, barriers and qualifacation locked), FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is offered by the Gov directly to everyone once a year. They look at both you parents and how much money they have as people, then decide how much money they will grant to you debt free. I had no father and my mother was homeless and not living with me when i was going to college, so the paperwork being So much based on your parents was really not helpful when you file as independent (as in emancipated/ legally a self-responsible child) the application, even including the fact that my packet for my dad just was one page, still took me 2 days, I think of actually sit down time it was something like 6 hours of typing family info, bank stuff, my moms entire life, my entire school record history (cause they also include how you've been doing grades wise) and i do not even remember what else!!

@@VVilde36 wow, thank you so much for the detailed info. and I cannot begin to imagine how hard it must've been, big respect for anyone who pulled through in a situation like yours with no parents around. you mustve been forced to be so powerful. (virtual hugs) we have similar things in my home country (turkey) and where i live rn (germany) but they aren't as tedious as this process. There are some forms to fill but i can't imagine it taking a full 6 hour for one page! tbh governments should question millionaires this way and not students or young people who need a little bit of money to survive..
