Awesome! Your cleaning got rid of over a century of dirt and grime. The headstone looks so beautiful now. ❤👍

I was just wondering about your printer. 😄 I love seeing stones that are of unusual shapes and styles - they're so interesting. While I'm happy just watching you scrub, it's great that you also take the trouble to tell us about the people. ♡

Yes I had to bite the bullet, as they say, and get a new one. Poor old one just had enough after 17,000 pages printed lol

That stone is very pretty after you scrubbed it and washed it down. I have done a lot of genealogy and I have decided that the census takers write down what the people tell them and quite often those dates can easily be off because the folks are going from memory and exact dates weren't quite as important then. The names and the spelling are quite another subject. My dad, for example, can be found as Charles Edward, C.E. and Ed, depending on the year and what either he or his 1st, 2nd or 3rd wife told the census taker. Do you get your info on people thru Ancestry or one or more of the other genealogy sites? I have found that I can find varied info by using at least 2 or 3 sites and have found some amazing stuff just thru find a grave, depending on what family member might have entered the information. It's great fun! My dad lived many years in upstate NY and I have struggled to find some information on his 2nd wife, who was from Brooklyn. NY doesn't always want to give up their information on folks for free! 😂

I use Ancestry, Family Search and a newspaper sites mostly. Yes between someone giving bad info and someone writing down bad info… it’s a struggle 😂
