here's my Nelson PC-NV100 big gun. it has a .70" taper bore nozzle and is a 2" female input. it's been sitting for years in my shed and I decided to get it out finally. it runs good for not being in use for a few years. the reverse however is quite fast due to the increased pressure. I also figured out on my stand that if I spread the legs out farther and move the ring down farther on the pipe it will stay stable.

This is quite a machine as well as the Sime. I like them, but they are just so out of my league of impact sprinklers. Thank you for sharing.

That fast reverse is downright scary.

It is! Gotta stay back from these when they're running! The reverse force is crazy especially if you are running high pressure through the gun. The drive arm is even being kicked back pretty far from the high pressure.

Ive seen the 200 big guns irrigating the fields, and believe me with the pumps those farmers have I'd stay way back from them. Not only can they hit you, and hurt you during reverse, they go past their left stop because even though they hit the left stop and pulled that reverse spoon out of the stream, theres residual force from it reversing, i've had one reverse and aim right above my head with its crazy stream it puts out, i was lucky i was just short enough for it to miss my head. That would have hurt to get hit by that. Some can even snap pipes! Imagine seeing that and having a 80 ft geyser in your field!
