Do you think someone could make ( fabricate) what I think is the diaphragm. The sprinkler won’t walk anymore. I don’t think I could take it apart myself. But my son runs a high end car restoration shop he has employees that fabricate parts for him. As far as that goes could anyone make a diaphragm, knowing your knowledge. You got a KILLER deal on that one you got from the dealer . I’ve had mine for 40 years got it used back then has preformed perfectly all these years, I refuse to consider it non repairable. On E Bay they want hundreds for ones that’s labeled “ for parts only”. I have looked everywhere for information on them and can’t find anything. Thanks for your expertise.

Ive seen the 200 big guns irrigating the fields, and believe me with the pumps those farmers have I'd stay way back from them. Not only can they hit you, and hurt you during reverse, they go past their left stop because even though they hit the left stop and pulled that reverse spoon out of the stream, theres residual force from it reversing, i've had one reverse and aim right above my head with its crazy stream it puts out, i was lucky i was just short enough for it to miss my head. That would have hurt to get hit by that. Some can even snap pipes! Imagine seeing that and having a 80 ft geyser in your field!

I had trouble in the beginning with the stand tipping over. I realized the ring that holds the pipe in the middle needs to be pushed down farther on the pipe so the legs spread out better. Once I did that the stand stayed up and didnt even hardly move. So now I know (I am still learning) how to set it up next time so that it stays solid even with the crazy pressure my pumps put out!

These rotors are in general very good sprinklers. For me without the impact sound that I adore so much, it just leaves me without excitement. They serve their purpose so very well and in most cases very reliably. If you need distance, in a yard, the impact makes much better sense. These work well in city water usage, but I do not see these as good choices for well water environments because of the minerals and dirt that clog them up. I know they have filters, but that requires additional attention that means more work. I still appreciate the video.

These are great models and stable as a rock. I think the only thing I would have done is to loosen the spring, but it works so well, what can I say, basically as we had them in the 1960's as a standard most everywhere. If it were not one of these, the original BlackBird with the brass arm was the other other choice, before PJ arm design came about, and very popular for good reason. Thank you for sharing. I guess I need to share my Sears model that would have competed with the Rain Bird at that time.

@NelsonBigGunP200Fan13 күн бұрын
Same here. That's got to have 100 psi or more at the nozzle for that to have that much force during reverse. And the drive arm is held in place during reverse by the force as well. I have a P200 of my own but my pumps aren't nearly as powerful as this one. I'm using a super small nozzle on mine and with 2 pumps in series I got enough to run it decently. It not like this.

@NelsonBigGunP200Fan13 күн бұрын
Would like to see one with the brake tension loose. They can snap pipes I've heard and flip over carts with that much force. Then you'd have a 80 ft geyser in your field. They also are very dangerous. The fast reverse force is deadly and if the gun were to hit you during reverse it could crack your head open. Heard about that from some irrigation techs who worked on them. When they're operating with that much pressure it's best to stand far back from them. They can jump their left stop and go back farther than theyre supposed to. The fast reverse design is problematic too. Lots of issues like getting stuck in reverse, brake wearing out, not keeping it adjusted. Techs don't like to mess with these anymore. Especially on the end of a pivot.

@NelsonBigGunP200Fan20 күн бұрын
Yes by either tightening the brake tension or adjusting the drive spoon

you could also use a bigger nozzle. a Bigger nozzle will push the arm down farther giving it more dwelling time between arm strokes, being that you have enough pressure/flow to use it. This i think may be the limit of my 2 pumps.
