You are all being gaslit. This will change nothing. They literally are ignoring the actual issues plaguing this god awful league. This is a marketing exercise. They are literally explaining how it’s a marketing exercise and yet you all will run and support these clowns who do not care about the long term sustainability and overall competitiveness of the league.

pre recorded draft are actually good, having 10 more minutes to think about draft and champions interactions migth make pro actually take draft seriously

I think it's the opposite. When playoffs happens, pre-recorded draft will be something ppl are used too, but won't have. Even worse at MSI. It's like playing all year on easy mode with coaches and players disecting the draft for you, than bumping up the difficulty for the final boss.

Fearless draft was amazing and extremaly entertaining in the Druttut tournament, but it was more of a for fun tournament where a lot of one tricks were competing, i'm not sure how it's gonna work in actual proplay.

The problem with Fearless is that only the Picks are taken away. Not Picks + Ban Phase. So pros will most likely bring 3 team comps and just pick it without regard to what the enemy team is picking. Instead of actually trying to draft and counter the enemy.

Fearless draft is the future. I'm tired of azir Victor corky Oriana meta. It's the lames meta ever. This will make players grow improve or retire. I'm sick of player saying oh so and so has a champion ocean but played 90% of games azir and two ahri.

@@BestMomentsHDLeague balance team have been doing them no favors but it’s almost impossible to have super high levels of diversity at the pro level outside of a team or 2 with a really big champ pool when it comes to esports

very good changes but it's probably not enough to revive the LCS but hopefully a couple more years of this type of improvement both for the game and LCS will make things good again

So if LCS is the only region playing on live patch, doesn't that mean they'd have way more time spent played on the patches for international events ? Isn't that clearly unfair ?

A lot of these changes seem to be missing the point. People aren’t watching LCS not because of draft and lag times in between matches, people aren’t watch because LCS never wins anything. It’s not fun to watch a region that gets smacked around intentionally every single year.

I feel bad for the NACS players, so they basically have to practice three times as many team comps to account for having to play a different champ every game, in addition to team comp pivots due to pick & ban.

they're competing to be well paid professionals, if having to play more than one champ in a league where everyone is being forced to do the same is their downfall then maybe they aren't good enough.

But why does it stink? They still show the draft, and I'm sure they'll have the players reactions recorded. It just makes getting into games faster. It might be shit for pros though, but they will just have to deal with it for now

The in between commentary is done during stage prep and system setup for the teams/players... Not shits and giggles

Showing players reaction while drafting just adds so much charm and context. Remember when Trymbi locked in alistar at worlds and was shaking his head the whole time.

The in game commentary is there to fill in gaps while players are doing technical checks. They arent pushing out more commentary to lengthen the time between games. Having the players draft while the other game is going and airing it when they are doing tech checks takes away that down time.

Fearless is stupid if you really wanna see the highest level of play tbh. It's artificial excitement and give a year or two and it'll be just as boring to people who find the game boring as is.

Yo call me out if I'm wrong, but I really don't think I am. This is a total budget cut hire. They parted ways with whoever was in this role, and then hired someone really young for probably a very small % of what the outgoing person was making.

The LCS was just slowly withering away. They HAD to hire someone young and familiar with the game to have any sort of relevancy. I'm sure he was smart enough to negotiate a fair price for what seems to be the best hire they've made in years

As long as the game quality is shit, you can even show boobs on tv and still it wont gonna save it. LCS has a quality problem for years, not just recent splits. Franchising somehow hurt LCS because a lot of teams just stays in the league without any purpose. Dig for example, they bring Armut Jensen and Santorin and stick them to a silver ADC with a good sup which they couldnt even get a visa lol. With that mentality, you only fuck players careers like they did for that trio. Teambuilding doesnt work like that, u know "find 2-3 great players and stick them with morons xd" thats not working since season 4-5. IDK what will save LCS but they need better and consistent rosters that doesnt change every split. They need franchise players like DL, Bjergsen etc.
