This will be followed by major variations ultimately increasing the overall cost far more than the initial estimate. Apart from that, the whole procurement process for large infrastructure tenders is manipulated by limited large contractors together with the corrupt bureaucrats and politicians.

We, all know that East and West highway is Nepal's busiest highway. I frequently travel come and forth through East and West highway. Most of the bridges located in Highway is either under construction or broken. I have eye witnessed how the tender companies make bridges in such a that they can only last for maximum of 5 years, Both the government officials and the tender companies are looting our hard-earned money giving us nothing but non-reliable infrastructure.

Contractor overhead already rate analysis ma 15% rakheko hunxa, competition vanda pani commision ko khel le garda fairness xaina. Liveable wages paudaina government employees le, india ma sub engineer ko salary starts from 60k IC in the government sector, engineer ko is around 100k IC, with which they can live comfortably, nepal ma sub engineer ko 37k NRs., ani engineer ko 42k NRs hunxa. Everything is setup in such a way ki if you don't deviate from a straight path, you cant walk far.
