More than two multiclasses, my one weakness. Man, I'm always so impressed with people who know how to build a good muliclass.

We have agreement on calligraphy! ^_^ Seriously, I like your take on this. Tulok's sorcerer levels didn't make sense to me thematically. This build is busier with its triple classes, but all of them feel more on key with the spirit of the character.

To be fair, if Elemental Weapon had been given to Rangers sooner, I feel like Tulok's build would have been a lot closer to this one. Before Tasha's only Paladins and Artificers got it, so he had to look elsewhere for the flaming sword.

I would just like to point out that any extra slashing or such dmg from your Monk or Ranger features and spells as using Water Breathing (since water dmg isn't a thing in 5e...). Searing Smite and Ashardalon's Stride have you covered for Hinokami Kagura.

I would say most of the water breathing forms are slashing multi and or single targets with one of them being a piercing attack.

This is simply the build I felt worked best for Tanjiro. Granted, I did overlook Whirlwind Attack, though to be fair I'd only seen him use Form 10 on Rui so far in the anime. I think he also uses it against Daki, but that's still a single opponent. Maybe he uses it against multiple enemies later, I don't know. I think I would still take the extra ASI from Fighter to cap Dex and Wisdom. As for why Samurai and not Battle Master, It just feels more appropriate for the "opening thread" thing. And Unarmed Fighting with Monk only gets redundant once you hit level 11.

@@tabletopnephilim4633 so I'm just going to point something out about multi attack defense from ranger if you're somehow able to get the shield spell you can make them stack

I would have switched unarmed fighting style because it's redundant with the monk levels also you kind of forget about form 10 which is easily the whirlwind attack from 11th level Ranger

No. They SHOULD be, but they're not. But as a Kensei you can pick any weapon that doesn't have the Heavy and Special properties to be your Kensei Weapon, which functions as a Monk Weapon.

@@tabletopnephilim4633 Oh ok. I also wonder why monks can use quarterstaffs even though it doesn't state they are finesse weapons. So I didn't dex is still usable with them.

So, there is no need to do monk on this build because the demon slayer uniform is actually armored though it only protects you against low ranked demons the mid the high tier will still shred you to bits if your not careful.

That detail either must not have been made apparent in the anime, or I missed it. That said, I think ignoring one minor detail is worth it to get Longswords with Dexterity.

I would say slap on a Cloak of Protection for the uniform and you're good.

@@YourBoyNobody530 rapiers do piercing damage, if you’re going for flavor over stats, you gotta pick a slashing weapon
