Her absence from SU Future was such waste . Her character had so much potential for atleast one episode but she didnt even get a cameo. I mean come on even mr. Frowney was shown in the finale!

It's probably that that simply could not schedule an episode for her or anything in the finale. Stuff like that happens all the time in TV shows, especially with ones that have such little budget or episode counts as Steven Universe. Cartoon Network even slashed the usual 25 episode season down to 20 recently which is why Future was 20 episodes long.

She literally was only in the suf intro, not even an appearance, or anything. And she was clearly the favourite and the corrupted gem with the most attention to (jasper doesn’t count). This is very upsetting..

Same! :( I saw a piece of fanart where she comforts and helps corrupted Steven, and I was like, "Wow, wouldn't it be cool if that were canon? I mean, it makes so much sense!" And then it never happened. We never even got to check on her and see what the most adorable arthropod is up to. :(

Yeah, what I think is crazy is she was never even shown outside the intro. We see her artwork, and several other nephritis, so it's not like they just forgot about her, but never her herself. Not even a cameo as far as I'm aware

Nephrite had one of the biggest impacts on Steven, she was the first to show that gems could be healed, and they never brought her back. That doesn’t sit well with me

don't they all have the same name? like Ruby, Saphire and Lapis?? the only distinction they'd have like first names were their Cut, Facet & Cabochon numbers.... they didn't specify which Nephrite it was. Both Peridot and Nephrite confirmed that when specifying Which Gem they were.

Steven’s Nephrite, which he called “Centi” was only in the opening of SUF.Not flying or air writing in a plane. Centi was different... Her hair/mane was white and her “eye” had a line going around the middle. Making it look like a Pokémon ball, but for the color! We definitely could’ve used some sort of inter-action with Centi in Future Steven! So looong Centi!! I hope u get many Chaps in ur Future!💚🖤💚🤍

Nephrite is one of my favorite gems in real life, and I love the character. I kinda of hoped she would feature in this SUF more, but I get that they had limited time even for fan favorite characters.

This is why I believe Rebecca should make Nephrite her own show. Nephrite doesn't get much screen time, and everyone loves her. I hope she gets one in the future.

Nephrite definitely should've been there when Steven was in the corrupted state, I mean, it's what she went through when at centipeetle form, it would've been a great moment for those two, like, "You didn't give up on me when I was in this state, now I can't give up on you". Also, her semi corrupted form looks really nice, like, it's the first time I saw an anthropomorphic character that wasn't based on a mammal or a bird, and it definitely was a really cool design.

In SUF when the cluster appeared to help corrupted Steven, I thought for a moment that some of the former corrupted gems would appear too, with Nephrite having a short talking with Steven too :/ still one of my faves

Sailor Moon! Love this already. Also this gem will always be “centi” to me. A play on the word “Sentient” meaning to be able to think and feel. How hilarious would it be if our centi was the same nephrite that bismuth mentions peral pulling out of the cockpit. And finally.... can we get the other quartz/Jaspers in the next one? (Zebra, angel, cherry quartz & Ocean, Lace, & Biggs jasper.) or the three remaining pearls. Please?!

4:24 Stevens Transformation* not corruption. It was merely his body taking on the form he views himself as, like when he felt like he needed to be more mature and he started aging. When he viewed himself as a diamond he changed to look like one. When he viewed himself as a warrior his appearance changed to be more like a quartz soldier. And finally this, Steven didn’t say “I’m corrupted” he said “I’m a monster” Corruption and unintended shapeshifting are two different things :)

At the end the diamond's tears, including his own, mix in the ocean and de-corrupt him. I'm fairly certain his emotional trauma corrupted him at least partially.

@@josephinamungaray6118 I mean, they literally camera focus on the diamond essence in the water, and when pink joins it he ends up glowing. I think it's supposed to be both. He's part human, part gem. It could also be an allegory for taking prescribed psychoactive medication. A hug and support of friends and family isn't always enough; and the creators took time to show that with Stephen mentioning he's getting therapy for his trauma as well.

As a Maori person myself, I just wanted to say that your pronunciation was pretty good :)) It's just the 'Te' in 'Te Waipounamu' is pronounced more like 'Teh'. & for 'Maori' the 'r' is rolled. (Sorry for being 'that' person, it's just that this is my culture & I wanna help you guys understand it more)

I think Centipeetle and Lion are my favorite characters. What? I love animals to bits, and I've always found it super fascinating how people like Dee Bradley Baker can voice monsters and animals so well despite being humans! ^^ Heck, his performance as Centipeetle sounded so much like an actual monster that before finding out for sure, the only reason I figured she was probably voiced by a human was because it didn't sound like any sound effect I've ever heard. That dude's got mad skills! :D

Now about Centi I've always loved this character. Episodes with her in them were so wholesome (besides Gem Glow, that was more fighty.) I just love her and wish we got more time with her. I would've loved for her and the other uncorrupted gems to have been in Furture more, they deserve some love and attention

I had no idea Nephrite was a jade. I’m from New Zealand and heard the names greenstone, jade and ponamu before but never nephrite, that’s so cool to learn. Ponamu is a big part of our culture here and you’ll find it for sale in pretty much every part of the country (though you shouldn’t buy it for yourself, it should be gifted otherwise it’s bad tapu)

Wonder if she still has acid spit after being healed? On the one hand, it is a superpower that makes a bit more sense for a bug monster than for a person. On the other hand, it's also a really cool and useful ability, and it would almost seem like a downgrade rather than an upgrade to take it away. Gems can shapeshift, so maybe she could get it back by changing into her corrupted form on purpose? But with all the trauma from being corrupted, I get the feeling she wouldn't feel up to it even if it was for a good reason...
