6:05 Nissan/Nismo used to make a factory GT4 equivalent of the 350Z called the 380RS-C. It was priced around $200k and was actually raced throughout Asia and specifically the Nurburgring 24hr under the Falken Racing team.

Natural carbon fiber is made from plant fiber rather than synthesized chemicals for the cloth material. which cuts down a ton on greenhouse gases and toxic chemicals and energy used. They are making plant based epoxy also.

Looks like such a fun car to drive. Simple and clean, with just a few extra "pro grade" mods like the stands, the SADEV and that absolute gem of an ABS setup. Wonder how hard you need to press the brakes for anything to happen.

I drive my Z nose '78 Z thru "NATURAL CARBON FOREST " every week end ! Yeah ,I love that place....... You know the 240Z had a real wood and resin rimmed steering wheel ,that was a big step in composites in 1969 -73 ! How cool is that. Buy the way,,I'm heading out to "Natural Carbon Forrest" this week end for a picnic with my girl friend, she loves long walks in Natural Carbon Forest as she looks for Natural Kevlar flowers!

That "Natural carbon fiber" isn't actually carbon. They are using Flax, or hemp instead. It is a little heavier and not quite as strong, but is great for things like body panels that aren't really structural.

Hmmm. My Dad had a 1975 Datsun 280Z in that exact blue, with mag wheels. He drove it till 1993 when he sold it to buy a Volvo 850 Turbo. He knows the guy he sold it to didn’t drive it after he bought it. This wasn’t found near SF CA?

Both the 350z and 370z had factory race specs similar to this. 400hp 380RSC for the 350z and 350hp 370 nismo RC. Pumped up NA VQ and racing platform built by nismo.

Let's keep it about the car....just for a little longer. - Weird that this thing doesn't have two holes for the dry break filler. That's usually a thing that's there so that air can rush out of the fuel tank as fuel rushes in, speeding up the whole process rather than having bubbles interfere with flow. Did they say this was race spec? - I kinda just assumed all GT4 cars had flat floors, like GT3 cars do. Also note the complete lack of a proper diffuser - just a lot of cooling equipment and that single exhaust. - Oh yeah.....kinda digging the single tailpipe. I'm not usually one to care about this, but it feels very "JDM". - Did Chris say he was getting two new cars or one? Eager to see the new Z in GLTC form, if that's happening. - 17:53 LOL at the stock key just ziptied to the fucking big red knob. - Hatchback gets a big thumbs up from me, in general. Missed opportunity for so many sloping rooflines to have hatchbacks. It helps practicality a TON. Cool points for the new Z. Lastly, gotta say......Chris Forsberg at the Indianapolis 8 Hour. I hope there isn't an FD clash (EDIT: THERE AIN'T! YOUR MOVE, NISSAN!), because it'd be kinda cool to see Chris tackle an endurance race. Maybe just bring the entire GLTC team out, Heikotter and all, with a guest driver to fill out the order, then send it. Maybe the N24? Now that Nissan finally have a new factory GT car, the sky's the limit for cool shit to happen. Frankly, Heikotter's performances in SRO Esports races have me convinced that he shoulda been a GT3 driver YESTERDAY. There's no "dry" carbon used here, and the natural carbon fiber isn't carbon fiber at all. Basically those traditional parts are made from actual carbon fiber fabric preimpregnated and traditional resins derived from petroleum products. The "natural" carbon fiber is probably a linen or hemp fiber and potentially resin derived from plants - so not carbon at all... unless you count that everything on earth is made from carbon :)
